Went with a 2021 Super Stock in indigo blue and basically no options except the rear seat delete and performance spoiler. Should be about the lightest example of one (for the wide bodies anyway). Excellent explanation. I have a 2015 Hellcat with a number of mods to the engine. I have not gotten the wheels....yet..but that is on the list of must get stuff. I am currently running a 20x10 rim in back with MT Drag Radials. I am struggling to get the car to leave correctly. I was told by HHP after they installed the whipple that he leaves in manual on the paddle shifter - you shift to first and stage - you have apprx 7 seconds, (I have not preloaded the brakes, but will in the future as you recommended); then launch the car. It will shift gears. the reason for this is that this is supposedly the best, constant way to race the car as apparently there are a number of shift sequences that the computer may select and the use of the paddle shift into first eliminates that. I also have a 2021 Super Stock and want to try what you recommend with that..thanks!

Hey Mr Sauer...very comprehensive video...I got a real kick out of the statements on the oil catch can. FYI - My 2020 Redeye with 1500 street miles collected maybe a 1/2 teaspoon and there was more water (condensation) than oil. I also enjoyed reading the comments and responses. There must be something special about your front Welds. The 18" Demon wheels are not supposed to fit the fronts of the Redeyes except the new 2021 Super Sports...rotor and brake size differences. The wheel barrels must be a little different. If I get motivated I'll try to fit the Demon 18"s on my front. (I don't want to ding up the brake calipers trying to get them on.) You addressed every question I have ever asked and I still learned a couple of things like the brake pumping...in my opinion much better on the engine longevity than using the Launch Control (2-step) that cuts spark from individual cylinders to keep the RPMs down or so I have heard. I also heard here on KZread from a Mopar Demon design engineer that launch control is meant for street use and not a prepped surface. I also thought the chiller could be used independent of Track Mode. The only thing you missed telling us was that although not mods in your case, the 3.09 diff and rear seat delete came from the factory options that not everyone gets. Just wondering, did you ever have to get your track rear tires to the strip in the Challenger? I couldn't figure out how to get both in the trunk...the fold down rear seats was a joke and not a good one. Have had to order the rear seat delete...no way I'm putting track tires in the rear seats. Great video....BE SAFE Just watched the end of the video. It would be nice if you can get a camera focused in on your instrument panel especially at night. You are the first to mention that in Line Lock the wheel spin comes up on the panel. Cone nuts.

A lot to talk about here, I’ll do my best 🤣 .. as far as I’m aware the power chiller can not be turned on separately from track mode with stock tuning (maybe the aftermarket tuning has that option), yes I do remember the video you are talking about with the SRT engineer so that’s why I dont really use launch control (plus it takes to long to setup while actually racing), I was able to get all 4 wheels and tires in the Hellcat, that is if you don’t mind putting them on the rears seats (in my case I have the delete so it didn’t bother me), next time I do a burnout with the line lock I will try to get a better view of it for you. Thanks for watching as always!

@@SauerHorsepower Sorry Chris I get a bit long winded at times...it was just that this is one of the most comprehensive videos I've seen. Good Job! Did some research on the Chiller. My 2020 has a specific selection for the chiller on the Race Options page which also includes Line Lock and Shift Light. Apparently the 2019 does not include it and you have to be in Track Mode just like you said. I looked at my OEM Demon 18x11" wheels w/ -4.5mm offset. The barrel is smooth like the stock wheels meaning no step changes in the ID (there is a concave half round out near the rim but it does not impact the fit). There is a 1" taper in the ID, At the hub 16-5/8" and at the tire mount 17-5/8". Rough measurement from axle centerline to outer edge of brake caliper is 8-1/2" at the hub so you need 17" ID at the hub. Yep, the Demon wheels don't fit the fronts without the brake conversion. Rear Seat Delete should be here this week. Coming from Hickory NC. 15% MOPAR accessory and performance parts coupon helps.

@@SauerHorsepower Yea but then you would probably want the 2021...this evening I confirmed the chiller operation in other than track mode. As it turned out there was 2 different pages that the chiller could be selected. One page would not activate but on the other it did. When the chiller was selected the screen will show the supercharger and another chiller button on the right. Hitting that button did nothing but from the other page the supercharger changed color from red to blue or green and a message across the top of the screen indicated the chiller was activated. The button also changed when the chiller was activated. I have no idea why the first screen did not work. You probably already know this but something you might want to think about is getting the Smart Access Cable and the interface to be able to copy your original tune and start collecting data (data logging). I recently got the HPTuners to be able to data log. I won't be doing any tuning until further into the warranty. If/when you change fuel or pulley, you will need to adjust the tune and watch your ETs drop and MPH rise. If you go with E85 you really need to be able to put in a more conservative tune if you happen to get a bad tank full. It could be the difference in have to replace an engine. BE SAFE

My other question is for the mexico roll race setup say a 40mph or 60mph roll race? Can you give the best setting and driving mode for this? I would like to hold 2nd or 3rd gear but still have the car auto shift so not to miss or over rev it. Any addvice ? also driving setting. I know you have sold the car but hopfully you can give us guys that are hanging on to them for life some info on roll racing. Thanks

  • @SauerHorsepower

Your best bet for roll racing would be to just leave the car in track mode so you get your power chiller going. Use manual mode to drop the gears down and once you hit the throttle slap the gear stick back over to auto and you should be good to go from there.

You want to try to run them as high as possible without them spinning (usually). The higher you can get them will allow for better rolling resistance going down the track which would help with trap speed. On the ET Street Rs the sweet spot seems to be around 17-18psi. If the tire is squatting too much and wrinkling without moving the car forward equally they are probably too low. Best way to see this is with someone filming the launch from the back.

Most important part folks is the tire setup. Please don’t think you can do this on just any type of tire setup and still hook cause you won’t 😂

I am disappointed i heard you have pcm reflash.Thats why there is no records no proof.A stock pcm, heavy car, good size driver dont add up.Every one i have seen with drag pak 10.30 maybe high 20's in crazy da.If your car doesnt weigh 4000 or less with stock power its not happening. It will take an extra 75 hp to do that.I have been there. These cars are mass produced they all run the same stock. My Redeye stock pcm,no pullies with 500 lbs of weight reduction went 9.91 at 138and 10.30 at 132 with just drag pak.i am only 155lbs,my car weight with driver is 4140.If i show up at Cecil Are you willing to let me pull tune file from pcm, give quick visual for a $500 bet(easy money for 15mins and bragging rights)?Stock Redeyes are a 10.30 maybe 20with crazy da not 10.00 car.

I will 100% take that bet any time or any day of the week that my PCM and entire powertrain is stock as delivered from the factory. Say when.
