You have to play with the suspension and traction settings. Couple guys at Fontana had it down. One ran 11.03 on it's street tire. The other is running 10.7s on MT drag radials. Both said the same about the settings.

0-60mph is not the same as a 60'. 0-60mph is the time it takes to get up to 60mph from a dead stop where as a 60 foot (60') is the time it takes to move 60 feet from a dead stop.

I just don't see how anyone can harness this kind of power on the street. It doesn't seem to be a tractable car but I guess if someone can manage it with its limitations (relatively narrow tires, touchy throttle, lack of handling prowess, etc), them more power to you. This is the kind of car for those who like to live their lives, according to Vin Diesel's character in The Fast and The Furious, a quarter mile at a time. I'll take racecar-like handling over outright power anytime.

Took the assholes about 4 years to start giving hellcat buyers 305s rear. I run 315s all day long no rubbing and 345s at the track no rubbing . Dumbest thing Dodge ever did was sell this with 275s.. and if you think their Stock advertised 10.9 1/4 mile on 275s and 0-60 3.4 is possible then goodluck getting close to that.. maybe 1out of 100 runs you'll actually get close to a 11.0 1/4 with stock Pzeros

Exactly! Exactly! God, that kid was irritating! Most of this is simply common sense. If you've got more torque than grip you LEAN into the throttle rather than bury it until grip catches up. If you need to have that explained to you, chances are you won't get it anyway.

  • @jamesnelson485

+James Nelson And when you get REALLY good you can feel the tires begin to slip at the borderline of traction and feather the throttle accordingly so that you're smoking the tires while still gaining nearly maximum acceleration. Not hard really. Most competent 10 year olds could do it. Exactly!

Their chosen spokesperson can't even answer the first and most important question; how much torque? BS! I love Dodge...but it is an old-school establishment trying to stick its neck out and place with the modern-day manufactures that actually take seriously the process of manufacturing a road worthy motorcar with muscle.
