Castor oil has done a great job for me personally and actually healed my eyes (I applied on eye brows and lids in am and pm) of dry eye and retina detach. Also removed scars and brown spots on my hands and face. Use it everyday!

These things work. After six months using some of these oils, some of my scars are almost gone. And these are scars I've had for over 25 years. I just wish I could be more consistent in applying the oils.

Thank you so much for these tips. I watched a couple months ago and ordered Calendula, Helichrysum, and Manuka, and have been applying daily. I use the Calendula and Helichrysum combination the most. With some Manuka and castor oil every now and again. It’s only been a couple months and my huge surgery scars look drastically better. I wish I would’ve taken before and after photos. Thank you Doctor Axe. Virgin coconut oil works very well for scars and hiperpigmentation. It removes wrinkles and smile lines as well. It leaves your face glowing. I've been using it for 2 months now and l love it.

I never did any of this. Totally forgot that I left this comment. My wounds were so deep that they probably needed stitches. I have just accepted them after all these years. Wish I had tried them but the injury was a little traumatic so I didn't care too much about the scar after a while.

How much of these do you mix together example tsp etc

When to apply these stuffs? After the wound or burn is completely healed or during the healing process?

have the contracture scar from a burn and a keloid right on top of it. Long story, the keloid don't look to bad but that contracture scar gets on my last nerves. I'll have to try all of these oils. I am determined to win this battle 😃

Hi Dr. Axe, what brans do you recommend for essential oils? I have scars from liver surgery and looking to purchase helichrysum mixed with calendula oil as you suggested. There are so many brands and looking for what will be most effective (i.e. no diluted, added additives etc.). I had liver surgery and want to heal my wounds. I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Saw your blog on it, let me guess, Frankincense oil is best for scar prevention. That's really interesting considering I didn't hear it talked about much elsewhere on the web honestly! So far I'm doing lavender oil directly since injured elsewhere and can't get up to wash my small scrape with soap. I also have an aloe vera gel at my disposal but I read in a couple spots you want to not use it on open wounds and wait a little bit before using. Also just ordered Frankincense oil, do I need a carrier oil like Jojoba or coconut oil? I don't have sensitive skin.

I have faded self harm scars which are completely white. Ive been clean for a long time and it weights me down so much to see the scars. Summer makes me kinda nervous ill try ur things out! Thank you a lot

I combine organic extra virgin olive oil, and castor oil 50/50. So far my face has smoothed out a lot. But you have to exfoliate to fully absorb the oils.

I have used ACV (w/"mother") and aloe Vera gel for 2 months now to heal my stage IV acne and make the scars disappear, and I'm telling you, it works ... My skin was scarred so badly from acne that the scarring (especially on my cheeks) actually changed the overall tone of my skin ... I feel like I'm getting MY skin back... Dr. Axe is right! I have spent a lot of money on silicone strips and they didn’t work at all I even had to reopen my scar to remove the keloids so the new scar can heal better and so far I still have problems with my scar almos 2 years after my surgery now i will try something else because I don’t see any results and I’m tired sad and everything together lol 😂😂😂

Thank you for putting out this information!! I had a vaginal hysterectomy 1983. Uterus only removed. Then about 5 years ago had severe lower right pain. My then gynecologist had scan done. Found cyst on both ovaries. Right one was about 6 cm (think I got that right) and small one on left ovary. Now here I am 5 years later and that same pain has returned. 2014 the Colin dr did scan and I was told had ALOT of adhesions. I was never offered therapy, except pill 3 times a day to help with pain. Folks, telling you right now, this eventually does not work. So went to gynecologist again, and he has now referred me to a surgeon to review. I will see what she says. I am 67 years old. If she doesn't recommend surgery then I will ask for physical therapy or go to St. Louis, Moor Columbia for a second opinion. The adhesion pain therapy in my opinion, could possibly help, but my feeling is took over 30 years for them to "manifest" ....don't think I will live to be 107!

Tea tree oil helps rid of ACTIVE acne as it's highly antimicrobial (antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral), thus reducing the very bacteria that causes acne - P. Acnes, from manifesting on skin. But tea tree oil doesn't help rid of scars, no matter indented scars or raised scars.

Hi Dr. Axe. Two weeks ago I removed five facial moles. Currently the area is very red. I'm going on a beach vacation in 2-weeks and am seeking a treatment that will speed up the healing process. Sunflower oil works for me, I was actually afraid to use it at first because I'm highly sensitive to oil and oil based products, but it doesn't block my pores and it's effective in reducing redness and scars. I'll definitely try Dr. Axe's recommendations, maybe they're better than what I'm using now. Thanks a lot!
