Personally I respect people who aren’t afraid to be different. Holding values and ignoring peer pressure is a great way for me to respect someone.

Alvin, I agree with you. I've seen others, based upon peer pressure, treat others, and me, badly. I have no respect for those people, especially when they do not apologize for their actions.

Yasmine, I more than often, let people walk all over me, so to speak. I let them say what they want, etc. But when they tell lies about me, and others believe those lies!!! I come out swinging, and can easily defend myself from their sad lives. You are right, Yasmine, speaking up for yourself IS the most important thing! It's hard to do, for some, but it MUST be done. And once you do, you will feel impowered, and others who really didn't know you, will look at you in a different light, and respect you for it! Also, their lies have a way of surfacing too !

Lololololololololololol is that so?! Are you speaking from personal experience or?! I didn't know that talking too much got you disrespected/disliked. 👀 Then again, who am I kidding. I'm well aware that when someone says things/is saying that which isn't considered "popular opinion", they will not only be disliked, but their words won't be respected. But what self respecting (not to be confused with arrogant or pompus) individual will retract that which they mean?! Anyone can play that game of not saying anything and catering to whomevers ego to feel and appear right. But that doesn't mean that they person necessarily respects you. They're just happy that you appear or are stupid and they appear to be knowledgeable. In situations as such both individuals aren't respecting each other at all. They're really just going through whatever motions for the time being. Which btw isn't respectful, more like tolerating each other.........which on occassion leads to disdain and 1 or both individuals talking negatively about the other.

  • @pahzplace7853

@@trueevolution6211 that's the thing......it doesn't matter what folk think! As half the time most can't even think, much less present/come up with solutions that are productive. So how and why should anothers thoughts be of importance. Often times, playing this quality of game to a mind that is pompus only caters to their ego. I bet if you open your mouth and what you've said profoundly affects them in a way that bruises their ego........they will hate you out of no where........which basically means that they never respected you. Not that you necessarily have to prove a point to everyone, but respect goes beyond getting every and anyone to like you/see you as likable, until they no longer like you👀👀👀. As needing to appear a certain way that deceives those that you yourself don't respect or necessarily care about just reveals the quality of your level of respect

Here are couple more. 1) Do Not talk over other when that person is talking. Don't think you're witty by interrupting your opponent's speech because you don't want to hear it. That's totally disrespectful. Let the person finish his/her statement then you it's your time to voice your opinion or not. 2) When someone asks for a moment of your time, give them the full moment, your undivided attention. Do Not walk away 30 seconds later or in the middle of the speech. Even though you don't like to talk to that person. That's rude and disrespectful. All critics welcome. I learn something new everyday.

Thank you for these amazing & helpful videos. I’m spiritual & I am an empath as I suffer Ptsd due to trauma I was forced to endure as a child, until I was age 14. I left home early but it was a matter of life or death type situation so I had to make choices I was simply too young to be making but I know I did not have any other choice, if I wanted to live! Sounds extreme but it’s why I am the way I am. I’m always seeking to progress, as an understanding, loving, sensitive being. I love your advice and tips! Great work...👌🏽✨❤️

I've always LED my life. In good or bad always worried about peoples reaction. Now I learned from people's reactions. And what they may say about me later on in years because of their reaction. I've learned to not worry about what other people are thinking and actually means nothing to me because I try to think clearly and look at the others before I look into myself and sometimes I have to look into myself before I look at others and react to their mean ing I take courses in the morning in sociology

Its nice to know that I'm already doing, at least, some things right. However, I can also see what still needs a little work. After all, many of us here are watching this video, because we need to know what we can do to improve our social lives. As such, I'm still working on dealing with my emotional responses, because I'm a passionate person. Being this way can be fine if I'm singing, or writing poetry. However, it can be rather awkward when I'm dealing with others.

I've left a job in a restaurant recently because everybody from managers to kitchen liked to gossip, gossip... gossip, to a point where I've noticed I was starting to get involved because that was all they talked about, but I've decided one day to have enough and quit right there and on the spot; One of the best decision I've ever made in my life, no regrets, and good riddance. Be careful with whom you surround yourself with... be very careful when building your character.

Only 1 way: Be around people that realize that a certain degree of respect is due to every individual, either they like him/her or not. In other words, if you are among people who make you feel that you have to do something or be someone else in order to receive even the minimum respect then you either: a) stay there and completely ignore them and b) or just move on, with the least possible or zero explanations. Respect your self enough as to realize what you deserve and what not.
