I think this a pretty toxic view, honestly. Breakups don't only happen because there's a third person involved. Maybe one of the parties is psychologically unable to hold a relationship, because they are unable to hold themselves like happens with a depressed person

I agree. My girl broke up with me. She loved me and I loved her but she wasn’t ready for a relationship and she said something inside her is holding her back from opening herself up to me and she needs to figure it out. She kept saying “right person. Wrong timing” it sucks for both of us. It’s been 3 weeks now and I’m really struggling with all of this. I know she’s hurting too. But it wasn’t because of a 3rd person. She even said “you’re the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. I hope our love story isn’t over. I’ve never been treated so well before”

Hey Man. I can tell you that the feeling is not different when you are the person that broke up with them. I feel so bad about it and i am about 4 weeks in. Im kind of realising that i might have made a mistake but she just doesnt see us getting back together anymore. The best thing to do is just delete her from every social media platform and work on yourself. Even though it feels like shit. Time will heal.@@Mountains4ever

Well even if it isn't a literal 3rd person in the picture *right now*, it is the hypothetical future person she may find that she thinks will be better suited for her instead of you. It's saying I know I can find a better man than you for me, even if she hasn't yet. Acknowledging this isn't toxic, it's understanding that she has, as the video says, placed a bet on a hypothetical future guy bringing her more happiness than you. That's it. That doesn't necessarily make her the bad guy, but how she arrives at that conclusion or goes about the breakup certainly could indicate low character. Or not, it depends.

This is why I like the whole idea of self improvement. They realise they made a bad bet as I develop physique, money and game.

I just broke up with my girlfriend because she was telling me about how one of her guy friends likes her and has for a while and she used too before she asked me out. The other day when I had found out I said it was okay if she ended up wanting to pursue it. She today said she did. We have known eachother for a long long time and honestly it really hurt. But I broke up with her because I knew it would be better and hurt less in the long run. Even though I love her so much I think it will be better even if we do still like each other.

It could be that the girl doesn’t see things progressing the way she’d hoped, it could be the girl doesn’t feel you’re a good match, or any number of other reasons. I walked away from my last relationship because he was tormenting me. Calling me shouting at me, next day apologizing saying he wanted me to give him another chance, next day telling me he didn’t want to associate with me, next day apologizing saying he’d never bother me again, popping up at my house the next day dumping everything I’d ever bought him on my porch, calling multiple times afterwards leaving voicemails shouting at me… This went on for quite some time _after_ he dumped me for the third time and after he told me somebody else was interested in him. There was and still is nobody else in the picture. I just can’t be with somebody who thinks it’s ok to deliberately keep me up all night and then text me the next day all day, getting angry if I don’t immediately respond or if I fall asleep at some point the next night. Sometimes we walk away because of reasons _other_ than another guy, just like men do. There are countless other reasons that happen. This was part of mine.

I'm going through this shit hard right now . But this was one of those ones that hit in a good way . Thank you .
