A-Z great talk
Probably the clearest, simplest and most straightforward talk about "how to get fundings from investors" I've ever seen. Highly recommended.
For me this lecture worth more than a VC round.
The "Harassment " part of the lecture was fantastic, Thank you, Aaron. I personally believe self-esteem is way more important than money or any achievement.

Yeah this video really lifted me up because I am right at that part of my startup where I'm struggling to find investors and my self-esteem has been going way down, starting to think that I'm a failure sometimes but this video really made me realize how important it is to have that self-esteem because otherwise you end up just grounding yourself which is what I did I've gotten so grounded that I haven't even made any progress on my business model and over a month. But I think I'm back at it now. This video really helped, and if there are any investors out there that are looking to make an investment let me know and I would be more than happy to go over what it is I'm looking for and my business plan and the equity that I'm offering.

If you're whining about self esteem and 'muh feelings', you're not cut out for serious business. Investor money > 'harassment'. Soft people don't win.
This is a wonderfully concise and informative video. As someone who is about to enter this arena, it's comforting to have this available as a reference, and a YT channel that produces good work.
Excellent content. Help me prepare for my first meeting with investors.

Best speaker in Y Combinator I have watched so far! I can literally see, how this guy has passed through tons of sh$t and came alongh through thousands of @$$holes to get this level of professionalism. I don't know this guy too much, but he is very good at what he is.
Excellent video! Thanks Aaron.
I started a vending machine business last year as a side job while I am employed to a corporate world. Now I rely more on my earnings in my vending machine business. Such a good idea to start one.

Such a great idea to know exactly what research business owners should do prior to raising funds and what the funds should best serve the start-up and how much. A lot of people just say "I need cash"... For what? Will it help you grow? Great job
Great Talk!
This was so great!! we need more!
Awesome vid!
One great point, the inheritance is coming your way anyway, which makes me think it's actually great to create wealth myself, so that I can leave the country richer! Great point man!
Wow! Thanks 😊
Thank You
Dude, your the realest🙏
Excellent
Thank you Aaron . I realize this video was posted 3 years ago, nonetheless, the content is still fresh, informative, relevant and I appreciate your straightforwardness. I had one question if you happen to review comments from old videos, as a entrepreneur with a specific product idea that hasn't yet reached a final prototype, do I need to be concerned about protecting valuable trade secrets, or methodologies. Especially, given the fact that I am talking with someone who has a lot of conversations with many other businesses any of which could see this as valuable information that they could fold into their plans. How often are investors denied specific details of intellectual property, or asked to sign an NDA? Any feedback would be appreciated, I'm all ears.
@derrickduplessy215

No investor will sign an NDA. Execution is so hard the risk of copying is low. They being said, don't send any patented info to an investor. Focus on how the product works to solve a problem. If the explanation is good, you'll receive $.
Thumbs up Aaron. 👏👏👏 YC
Thanks 👍
Great presentation, I 💯 approve the part about some accelerators who have unfortunately no knowledge about startups. Make your research before signing or engaging with accelerator ;)
Underrated content!
Solid advice. Aaron has an uncanny resemblance to B. J. Novak, Ryan Howard from The Office!
Thanks!
Thanks ❤️

An interesting observation from my side: Investors appreciate a good conversation, they first and foremost want to get to know the team. So don't spend 50 percent of the call rephrasing your pitch deck which is what a ton of startups do. Another big point is honesty: Most investors I've worked with would rather prefer it if you can clearly identify the pain points of your product and how you want to overcome them with his money (ie cost of user acquisition, influencer campaigns, A/B testing, UX testing), instead of being like "We are the best company in the world, we just need cash to show it" :)

Hi. Thank you for your advice. Very interesting video. I have a couple of questions. For example, a person has a plan, but this plan involves buying an existing company and working further, develop business. A person needs investments to buy this business. Do investor invest in the purchase of an existing business? Thanks.
Absolutely motivating! Thankyou so much. If anyone is interested in investing in homesteads and vertiports in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, then let me know :)
welcome to my team.

How to evaluate what’s the total value of my startup and how to allocate the percentage to the crowd finders ?
great
Very nice brother, would love to see how to connect with you guys.
how much is a common share for angel? And how to reply them when they ask something like "why my share is not higher than (amount)%?"
in you re for example a german entrepreneur, is it possible to get american seed money? Or are these investors more likely to invest in US startups?
