Believe it or not an Ibanez sr400, a bass EQ pedal and a SansAmp GT2 with the right settings won't get you that far off. But if you have plenty of money a custom bass made from the same woods, using multi coil pickups and a Lusithand double nfp filter preamp is the way to go. Depending on how fancy the woods are you choose you're looking at £2,600-£3,000. If you have big money buy a Wal.

In " his era" there were no rock bass players even on his planet. His live rock improvisations were unmatched in the mid sixties.

@jamesnell7224 Well, I play with a Warwick Rockbass Fortress 4, playing with both pickups and the treble full tone, with the low eq at 50-55%, also I use a Valeton Gp 100 multi-fx It's not 100% perfect, but it works
