WHO AM I?
I am a Harvard Graduate School of Education alumni '16 and a current PhD student in the Department of Education Studies at the University of California San Diego. I produce videos about the graduate school application and my journey through a PhD program. Subscribe to follow my journey through the PhD experience and to gain insight on how to best prepare for the graduate school application process.
I created this channel because I did not have access to many resources when I was applying for graduate programs. Now that I have been through two graduate school application processes, I want to share my knowledge and the helpful information I have gained through those experiences.
Additionally, for the past four years, I have been working as a Retention Specialist and Director for a federally-funded program at a higher education institution. I spent these four years helping over 400 students to apply to four-year institutions, attain scholarships, and navigate the higher education system. I created this channel in order to share my knowledge of college access as it pertains to graduate school.

this was a fantastic video, and this between your other statement of purpose vids is making me realize that I don't have a clear understanding of what niche I want to be involved in for Graduate study. I spent much of my time I could've been exploring the field, helping other people in high school and undergrad that I've lost sight of my own purpose of Education even by this point as I prepare to graduate undergrad in May. I had ideas in mind, but wasn't afforded the time or the opportunities to execute them. Morally I operate with the concept of just existing in a world that has concerns that I know needs to be fixed and don't really have an action plan in mind I simply embrace what is feasible in the spaces I'm affored to be in.

Thank you! And you will figure it out. You can always use your classroom experience to frame yourself as a researcher and prospective graduate student. Do some reflecting and you will figure it out. Good luck!
5:35 memo for me What are you going to be? Aspiring policy maker to change the life of rural students and so on. Let the faculty know your vision of tackling pressing education issues. And you have to be very specific about what you want to study. Through your attempts show how much you are initiative and you have an entrepreneurship. Plus the thing I have to improve and how hgsc can help me through. 9:31 Write down your attempts that you did to change your community. You work by actions 10:12 write down the course name which will help you to improve your career

Yes you can, but there is a limit to the amount of credits that could be cross-registered. I think it’s 12 credits max, but you’ll have to find accurate info about this on their website.

Yes, if you get into the PhD program then you get the masters on the way. You could also only apply to the masters program.
