Thank goodness for this video. As much as I’m loving this DLC, the world navigation is not nearly as intuitive as the base game. I’ve been banging my head into a wall trying to explore it haha

Maybe if I had the extra time and extra hours to play I most likely would play without looking anything up when I get stuck on where to go next. I did just get to the abyss and this is by far the worst place I have no idea how to deal with those madness enemies that telport suck the soul out of u and inflict madness. My sword just swung right through them.

I don't know why From Software is doing this with every game. They have entire areas hidden so well that most players will never find them naturally or even with a lot of exploring. And the fact that the map is dark, you can't orient yourself to know where to look. 95% of players will just use a video guide, while the 5% will stumble on it by mistake. If the purpose of this is for us to feel the excitement of finding the path to a new area, then it's done very poorly, since most of us will never find it. And there is no satisfaction with just watching a video and following the steps

thanks, most of the times hidden walls are a bit obvious or they have something that gives them away around them like candles. the hidden wall in shadow keep is very well hidden

Idk what they were on when designing the open world traversal in this dlc. Doesn't help that it's dark af with all the shadows and the paths to get where you want to be take you in a crazily roundabout manner

Thank you for the video. This is 100% necessary for by far, the most challenging map find I've ever seen. Wow, finding some of these map fragments is ridiculous. The fact I'm a old school player and I need to look up a video. They really took this DLC to the next level. Wow.

@@borg_cubeBrilliant? I wouldn’t say brilliant. If you have to look up a guide to find the maps then something is wrong. They could’ve placed the maps at the entrance of each fragment, instead you have to walk a ton (while basically blind) just to get the fragment. Same with questlines.

I think we're all here for the Rauh Ruins map.

Ran out of zones to explore (the thing I like to do most in Elden Ring) and rather than wiping for ages on Messmer, Gaius and the Bud Lady, decided to look up how to get to the Abyss. Thank you very much for the video! I did actually find the artist's painting in Shadow Keep, but would have never noticed the hidden doorway...

The abyss section is legit the hardest part of finding the map! No wonder a lot of us had to look it up, myself included.

The abyss is why i am here. I am a pro on level 370plus. Found every map piece except this naturally, but after several hours of trying to find the abyss with nothing but wasted efford i gave up 😂

I spent some 160 hours on my first play through of Elden Ring because I was exploring every inch of the game and I’m 99% sure I saw everything. The hardest part about this DLC is just trying to find all the new areas. Even with me taking hours just to explore the map, I still needed to watch this guide.

Hi, do you know how to get rid of the fog on the world map around the boss fight arena of the final boss on Jagged Peak? - I've killed the boss there & unlocked the grace - Completed the quest-line of the NPC correlating to said boss - Finished the entire DLC & collected all map fragments, but I can't seem to get rid of the fog on the world map

this is the video equivalent of an NPC who you need to follow for a quest that walks faster than your walk speed but slower than your run speed

these map fragments is the hardest part of the dlc.

Are you talking about the place that is above where you fought the dancing lion or the area south west of cerulean coast cross? If it’s the latter, then you need to head to shadow keep or the bridge past Bonny village near the cathedral of manus Metyr. But beware that you might progress the quest lines of certain NPCs by doing that so first make sure you have all the quest lines progressed up till that point. You’ll get a message once you’re near shadow keep or the cathedral.

No actually! Theres a super roundabout way but you can go a whole nother boss free route to get to these areas. This route you actually go through 2 bosses

Dear Lord man! I love the maps design in game, but the map that's supposed to help you navigate is about as accurate as I was in the Land Navigation course. There's no detail whatsoever😂 thanks for the verbal vid it really helps my autistic brain. The map really does remind me of DS1 with it's dense overlaid Terrain with some of the best screenshots I've ever taken. I'm also one of those people, that could be looking for an item for 4 and 1/2 hours only to discover it was right under my nose the entire time.😂

@@ConCon you’re welcome , to help, some other guide KZreadr had a thing saying “put video on -.25x speed to normalize the speed to how it is normally in game” and it made the video easy to follow. Either way great guide !
