It's crazy how some people are gifted with vicious power such as this, Liam you are a killer.

@@wg.1157 Yeah no... power is actually mostly genetic thing, otherwise we would all hit hard like Liam here... of course you can improve it lil bit with training , but like Firas Zahabi said "a good coach can not teach you how to hit hard, he can only teach you how to hit hardER" meaning you can improve it but there's a limit that is different for everyone. Some people are just gifted with nuclear weapons like Nganou, Mike Tyson etc.

What a killer hook! Outstanding.
Same way most hooks are thrown in boxing in my experience turning the lead foot over is a cue to teach novices to generate power with their hips but in actual sparring/fights you never really turn your foot over

"not the same way as boxing." Literally the exact way in boxing.
You are a legend big man
Not just the left hook, Liam throws everything hard af lol
Liam is one of those dudes who just has perfect technique in everything he throws.
I trained at bad company gym in the late 90s/early 2000s when I still lived in Leeds, Liam was only a teenager then, very talented and focused, it’s amazing what him Rich Cadden,Andy Howson ,Jordan Watson have gone on to achieve, Richard Smith is a brilliant coach! Respect from Australia 🇦🇺
This explains the difference in knock out ratios
One of the best left hooks I’ve ever seen
Outside the leg kettle bell swing with arms alternatively leading generates a lot of twisting torque. Just don’t overload.
Thats the reason why a boxer gives advice for boxing and muay tai for mt.
Firstly, the noise that comes off Liam's strikes are God tier. Secondly, I like how much of what Liam teaches are straight forward, no BS versions of techniques that help you strike your opponent quickly and effectively
Holy shit. If you try to block that, your arm will just fall off.

I have been watching all of your stuff and you actually commented on a few of my comments. Love your channel. Keep doing this man.
fantastic tutorial. muay thai hooks are a totally different game
Beautifully executed sir thank you for the knowledge!
Just seeing that hook could keep you up at night. It's ferocious.
Beautiful brother love the the turnover from your hips threw your shoulder even the elbow gets torque .. you can really see how good the technique is from that angle that's perfect
Omg..super power respect ..man😮😮😮😮

Deadly power, you can hear the power when he smashes that bag.

This dude punches like a fucking superhero
A good extra bit I once learned is that rather than twisting the front foot: twist the back foot by bringing the heel towards the centerline
It's easy to in Muay Thai when everyone just stands in front of their opponent. Boxers train to hook off the jab, snapping a lead-left hook from the same trajectory of a jab.
Plenty of power, very nice
„A little subtle twist.“ continues to smash like thunder 😂😂😂
One of the best muay thai fighters hands down.
Looks powerful man.
Kinda reminds me of throwing a Peek-a-boo style hook. Solid lead hook
Tyson was famous for throwing hooks off his lead...awesome.
You have earned my respect!!!
That's a very nice left hook!
Great breakdown! You’re a savage! You generate a lot of power
Sounds painful would not want to eat a hook from this guy
Couldn’t make it when you were up 8limbs gstar, but I love all your content your a top bloke ❤✊🏾
This man is stronger than me I wish I fight him someday🤞
Mate, as a boxer I've gotta tell that we throw the punch as in the video, the first that you threw however, is thrown only if you're sure to land it, otherwise especially against more experienced boxers that slight second, where you load it, can be enough for them to understand how to cope to that, and give it back to you, however heck dude, you've got a lot of power in those hooks.

that hook is scary, man
That's that Smokin Joe Frazier left hook❤
great dynamic tension in his hip and lats due to the footwork, therefore the twist and hook will be powerful af. everybody should train their left hook this way for Thai/K1
The power in the hips can be really underestimated, probably because the excitement is in the hands.
