Ben, I've been trying to FS tailslide while skating parallel to the curb, and the minor adjustment of coming at the curb at an angle completely changed the game for me. Thanks so much for this valuable video!

The way you explained how to get into this trick, by riding at a very slight angle and using the 90 degree ollie to lock into the tail slide, that really has helped me to visualize how I will lock into this trick. I'm very excited to try this. Also, practicing it on an unwaxed curb in the form of a stall instead of a grind, thats a fantastic, low-risk, confidence building way to learn tge motion...genius.. plus it teaches you a stall you can do. Thanks Ben!

After knowing only some shuv it tricks and 180 (no flips yet but I'm close), last Monday I just found some nice stairs. So, I've started with 50-50 in place, and it was super easy. Then I tried while rolling, and then also with rolling shuv its. I did all that stuff just in one day! I didn't grind though as I think it could be hard without wax, but it's still cool to lock the board on the stair. So, I'm going to try with tail now! I bought wax today :). Just wanted to share the encouragement to anyone who needs it, as after constant skating for the last 3 years (and this is almost all my skating for a 36yo guy), I'm really starting to feel the board and some of grinds seem to be not that hard. Awesome video! Thanks for an inspiration! Why did I forget on Monday to try with FS180 and with FS180 to fakie? :D. Cheerz!

"riding into the curb and using your 90 to lock in" I was just thinking that my problem was I am try to turn too much and the tail is getting ahead of the nose, I realized the nose has to stay ahead to get locked in and Ben stated the same thing in a very simple way near the beginning Awesome im going to get tails tonight for sure Update: I got em in about 15 mins after this! The key was to think about both toes pointed in the same direction, towards the ledge at the same angle I approach the ledge

This is one of the most unpredictable tricks for me. I've been skating for 13 years and this trick comes and goes. Even when I have it, I don't really have it. I can slide a little and then I lose them again. I really don't know what I have to do to fix it. The slide is never comfortable. Any tips on how to make the slide feel more comfortable and easier to hold

@@fivehourenergy6159 Thanks! I'll give it a shot. It's weird because when I feel like I give enough weight to my back foot to slide it, it doesn't slide, but then I do the opposite and it slides when I'm not expecting it. Maybe that's because of foot placement?
