Thanks so much Jeff. I have a couple of buckets full at a time that I have so much other fruit and this is just perfect. How long will it last do you think? Totally agree they are easy to grow with no pests. Ants sometimes but if you pick them straight away no worries. My problem is 16 plants now fruiting.

Hi, your welcome LouLou, I was thinking along those lines myself, I was wondering how it would go grating it course, then freezing it & making a sorbet out of that, however, I've never made a sorbet before:) so it'd be trial & error. I'm sure any results would be fantastic out of this fruit. I love it:) cheers

How long can I preserve it??

G'day Jeff, I have a problem with ants on my Dragon Fruit. Before I am able to remove them when they become ripe the ants get in and spoil them. Any suggestions. Cheers Perry

Hi Perry, I haven't had that problem yet, all I can suggest is spraying the limb with cooking spray, the ants wont cross oil. You need about 4 days from the time the fruit changes colour to harvesting. Even if you only spray during that period. There may be other ways you can keep ants away from your plant, anything is better than losing your beautiful fruit. We picked a red one which had split & there was a couple of ants into the flesh but I caught it in time before any damage. So that might be the trick, pick 4 days after the colour change. good luck with it, cheers.
