Dragon fruit is good, if you get a good crop. Lychee, I've been eating my whole life, love them. Stay away from the canned ones though. They are a horrible introduction. People always look at me like I'm crazy when I'm scrubbing away at my fruit, especially the big ones like watermelon. But between the dirt and the dozens of hands it's passed through, they must be washed before being cut. Great video!

Hi Carolyn....I was looking for a recipe one day last year and stumbled upon your channel and what blessings I'm receiving. Love your videos as they are very thorough and inspiring. Ironically, last evening I was pondering on the proper way to freeze fresh fruit and your video popped up on my "inbox" this morning. I prepared your recipe for peach cobbler again yesterday..a HUGE hit. On behalf of all your followers, thanks for assisting us in expanding our culinary skills.

First time I’ve tried Dragon Fruit. This one isn’t sweet, although it’s a nice deep pink colour on the outside and slightly soft when squeezed with hand. The inside is soft. I added yoghurt. I’m amazing at the very long list of how good these are for us. If they weren’t $4.99 each (Australia) I would have one each day.

We have lychee trees in Florida. I'm a smoothie queen but I always buy frozen fruit from Publix. Occasionally when strawberries and blueberries are on sale, I'll freeze them because it's cheaper. It's funny that I like them in smoothies but not so much by themselves. LOL!! Thanks for sharing.

You love lychee, aren't you? Then, you definitely want to make the VIETNAMESE MILK JELLY DESSERT. It's very popular in Vietnam and mostly eaten during the summer or when the weather gets hot. It has panna cotta, lychee, sugar syrup, toasted almonds and it's usually served cold with some ice cubes. This is the recipe that I've have tried making it before and I love sharing it with you: Step 1: In a saucepan, add in 2 cups water and 250g candy rock sugar ( you can find it in most Asian markets or white sugar would also do well, too). Bring to a boil and dissolve all the sugar. Remove the saucepan from the stove and let the syrup cool down to room-temperature. Meanwhile, remove the seeds out of the lychees and when the syrup is cool, place all the white flesh of the lychees into the syrup. Cover and let it chill in the fridge for about 8 hours. Step 2: Sprinkle 0.3 oz unflavored gelatin powder into 1/4 cup cold water and let it sit for 10 minutes. In a saucepan, combine 200ml milk, 200ml heavy cream and 1/4 cup sugar together. Turn the heat on low, stir constantly until the sugar is dissolved comepletely. You don't need to boil it. Let it cool down. After 10 minutes, put the gelatine mixture into microwave on high for 30 seconds until it is liquified. Add it to the milk and cream mixture. You can also add a few drops of almond or vanilla extract or just leave it plain like that. Cover and chill in the fridge overnight. Step 3: Toast 25g almonds until they become brown and fragant. Step 4: SERVE! Place the lychees and some of that syrup into a glass. Cut the panna cotta into square pieces and place them into the glass, too. Add in the toasted almonds and some ice cubes. And it's done!!! I HOPE YOU WILL TRY THIS RECIPE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. AND TRUST ME, YOU WILL LOVE IT FOREVER!!!

Love lychee but dragon fruit was disappointing to me..will stick to kiwi. Freezing is great when space allows but I've limited space so my Nesco dehydrator is working overtime on eggplant, colorful peppers, parsnips, garlic, onion, cauliflower, herbs, kiwi, apples and even a watermelon if I can find one in NYC this time of year. I store them in either Mason jars or freezer bags. Thanks for your channel!
