Yes I do need to forgive myself more often than I have allowed in the past and apply this verse “The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:22‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

I had shoulder surgery in September 2020 and ended up addicted to the pain pills that were prescribed and I lost myself, my family, my job and I'm so lost and broken and don't know where to begin. I did go to and complete a rehab in January 2021, I still struggle with the thoughts of using and have slipped up 2x already Idk this is the hardest thing I've ever been through.

It’s harder to forgive yourself because you know that you knew better but did it anyway.

Self forgiveness is not biblical, brothers and sisters, there is nothing in the Bible that mentions forgiving yourself. We must have faith in what Jesus did on the cross, God is the judge not ourselves. God bless you all

I Have This Issue I Have Hurt Many People in my Drug Addiction I Have Been Clean for 3 Years And Still Struggle with Forgiving Myself and Always Asking God for Forgiveness, Because My Life has Not Seemed to Get Back on Track Yet I Feel Like Paul I Was the Worst of Sinners And I Have Cried Until I Couldn't Cry Anymore I Really Hope and Pray to Find Peace in God's Presence, His Mercy and Love

For most of my adult life I struggled with addiction and by the grace of God I found that obsession lifted and ended up 5yrs sober. I had shoulder surgery in September 2020 and lost it all, ended up back addicted to opiates and lost everything in 5mths what took 5yrs to gain. I'm lost broken and ashamed, guilt ridden and a shell of emptiness. I need Christ more now than ever I pray I find the light again sooner than later, I often contemplate suicide and that's not me I have young children Idk I just hope and pray things improve and i can forgive myself

Lance, I am so sorry to hear about these struggles. We want you to know that you are not alone and there is hope for the future. I would love to pray for you this morning and send you some resources that I think could help. Lord, Today I pray for Lance. I pray that he continues to be a warrior when faced against his addictions. I pray that he has confidence and strength while he goes through his life. I pray for support around him to help him make the right decisions and I pray that he fights this battle of depression with your love. Amen There are some blog posts that our church has put out on this topic that I would like to share with you! The first is called 5 Keys to Fighting Addiction (go2.lc/fivekeys) and another is called When Life Feels Stuck Like Groundhog Day (go2.lc/stuck) . There are so many more that will appear as recommended when you go to any one of these blogs. If there’s another way we can be praying for you, please let us know! 1 Peter 3:11 (NIV) They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it. Your battle does not define who you are, God does. Continuing to pray for you as you pursue Him. As you do, there are a few Bible Plans I believe would minister to you! This is almost identical to me. Thanks to a spinal fusion surgery, I got hooked back on the pills. Because of which, I've lost my wife, family and the grace of God. The contemplation of suicide is so hard to beat, I struggle all day with it.

Jesus really led me right here at one moment everything made sense and I broke down into tears, Thank you for uploading this I've been in a bad place for a bit and learning to forgive my self has easily been the hardest thing for me.

Forgiveness is a process. I have found that absolving myself of wants and desires is something that means forgiveness is not always necessary. When we do something regrettable or something we are ashamed of we find ourselves in a position where we desire to put things right or the desire to go back in time and change our actions. Being aware of these desires and wants is crucial. Forgiveness means that these wants and desires go away, but the important thing is that we absolve ourselves of these wants and desires. Forgiveness is like a short cut to this. Work on wants and desires and forgiveness becomes something that is not necessary for moving forward. I have done things in my life that I don’t think I deserve forgiveness for but I make sure that I am aware of my desire to change the past or the desire to undo the actions and deeds of the past.

I wasn’t feeling my very best when I got the notification❤️I already know I’m gonna feel better. Thank you Pastor Craig

Healing come when we total surrender it took so many years to carry shame and guilt 🙏god gives all free will I wish he dint because I would have to make decisions 🙏even being a Christian forging others making impulsive decisions also are easy because there is pain and I want a quick fix I want to numb the pain but the consequences after take patience process gods timing is perfect and the willingness to look at the past 🙏it’s all gods timing and he will is walking with me and with you because he loves as all 🙏 today I don’t make fast decisions I pray 🙏 I ask god what do you think 🤔 I should do jesus ? I wait 3 days I believe god went to the cross to save me from hell and he rose 3 days later so why not wait when I want something compulsive 🙏 I believe god started a good work on us and he definitely not done for me he forgives I forgive and then I am I doubt and I take 3 steps back god does not give up you or me thank you for writing sharing with who is going through or people that been through 🙏 may the Lord bless us Holy Spirit lead us to we’re you want us to be thank you Jesus I remember when you came through and I believe you will do it again amen 🙏 my prayer is that god block anything from my life that is not will for me even if I want it god now the plain I don’t now what the future brings me but I now who is oldish my future and savior Jesus is the same yesterday today and tomorrow if I old on to him and his grace thank you for allowing me to heal here 🙏❤️🙌🤲amen

Carried the shame of never measuring up. Guilty of what people say of me and not even truth about me. I am broken and yes I have my own short comings. But not what they say, and I buy into it and believe I will never be more, as it is thrown in my face more times then I can count... God allow me to see truth of who I am so I can forgive who I am not

Thank you so much for this. I had a word of knowledge spoken over me in church awhile back that I needed to forgive myself. The person speaking it had no idea of the anguish that had been going on in my heart. I totally broke. I have wept many, many bitter tears of repentance because I something I did against God in the past. I have struggled to forgive some who hurt me deeply and with His help I have forgiven but could not forgive myself, even though that word was spoken over me. The tears are flowing again as I listen to your message. I chose today to receive the abundant grace of God and know He has forgiven me. If He can forgive Peter, He can forgive me. The devil is a liar. Key thing you said: “anytime the enemy brings up your past, it’s because he’s intimidated by your future”! God must have a mighty incredible future/plan for me!!!

Thank you🤍I’ve struggled repented promised fell again and again time after time unintentionally...it hurt knowing that I hurt him, but God forgives indefinitely🤍Amen. Help me oh Lord as I repent and get back on track, I ask for deliverance

Forgive, don’t forget. Always good to learn from your past, but it can’t define you. Each time you talk about it, it brings it back to the top, making it present and giving it life once again. This message was EXACTLY what I needed.. the words you spoke, it's clear you have been in my shoes. I was exposed to something at a very young age, n have battled with it since.. I believed the same, I'm never gonna get it, I'm never gonna be good enough, I'm can't be forgivin, I feel like every time I go there, I have to hang my head in shame n walk back to the starting line.. Today I forgive myself, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your message. And thank you Father for my freedom ♥
