    I was actually searching for a video on how to change glow plugs on the Kuga, can't seem to find a decent video?! But this video popped up. So I watched it. It must be one the most informative videos I have ever seen. Clear and concise instructions, with a friendly tone, That seems to take the scare factor out of this job. I was always scared to change the filter on my 2.0 tdci focus which had the same engine due to the worry of bleeding the air out after. But this guy has made it seem so simple! Ill definitely be doing it myself when it needs it! Thank you so much.

    No worries 👍🐷 thanks for the nice comment. Glow plugs are pretty tricky on these due to access at the back of the engine.... Might I ask, why do you want to change them?

    Ahh ok, they rarely, if ever in the lifetime of these modern diesels, need changing. Not really used to help start a modern diesel unless it's like -20° or they get used during dpf regen cycles

    I worked in the motor trade for 17yrs and it always blows my mind how some things can be so simple to do, and that people could save so much money by purchasing vehicles which are easy to work on. Why pay over priced servicing fees when you can do it at home and it is made even easier with great tutorials like this?

    Hi, thanks for the great vid! I managed to change my fuel filter because of this. One question though, the sensor that's connected to it. What is it for? It's that I need to change my faulty fuel temperature sensor and I'm not sure where to find it

    Different engine/filter housing. If your Peugeot Partner is Siemens managed, it will not prime by cranking but have a primer bulb. If it's Bosch managed, just turn the key on/off a few times and it will prime

    Thank you for sharing this vdo. One thing I notice is that you bleed the system at filter outlet, very useful indeed. I normally bleed via return line with difficulty due to long passage line through high pressure pump, I guess. Must try your tips next time, thx.

  • @PiggyPower

    Yeah, I find this much faster and simpler. They will cope with a little air, a brief cough and splutter, and the line from filter to fuel pump won't suddenly empty of fuel while you're doing the filter 👍🐷😄

    Hi there right I just replaced my fuel filter on mine and did exactly same way as u bur from the exit pipe no fuel is drawing out at all even tho I’ve put diesel into the fuel tank and it’s a new filter wirh new ring seal bur still when I use a hand held mini pump to draw fuel out it doesn’t show any sign of fuel coming out I hear some that you have to pre fill the filter

    Surly there is air on pump side of the filter line or is there a small amount the system will bleed that out ?

  • @PiggyPower

    @PiggyPower

    2 ай бұрын

    There is no pump in the tank or pre filter. If you just crank it over... The air can get trapped in the lines and it can take forever to crank it over to bleed it out, cooking the starter in the process!

    Need urgent help!! I changed my Ford Fiesta Diesel 1.4 TDCI Fuel filter. There were two sensor connectors one with 3 wires and another one with 2 wires. I bought a genuine spare. On the 2 pin side there was a seal which needs to be broken to connect the sensor. Everything is done properly. I had to struggle a bit to start the vehicle. It worked. BUT NOW THE PROBLEM is every time I have to start I need to reset the ECM which I am doing by disconnecting the -ive battery terminal and connecting it with +ive terminal for some time. Then only the vehicle starts. Any help will be greatly appreciated. 27 Apil 2024

    Fuel filter sensors should have nothing to do with the vehicle starting. I also would give caution to reset it in that manner. Unplug the sensor to see if a change... Or better yet, get some diagnostic equipment plugged in and see what the fault is

    It might drain your battery or set your starter on fire first! At minimum you need to fill up the filter/housing with fresh diesel. Otherwise you'll be there for hours cranking on it
