Are you running any type of illumination? I’m sure it’s dependent on lighting conditions but on a clear night with no moon are you using an Illuminator at all?

Great question! It does depend on lighting conditions, however, we honestly rarely use illuminators. The 2376 minimum FOM unfilmed tubes in these L3 CNVD-LR's are just flat out impressive and resolve the image phenomenally. With clip-ons, most of the time, your problem with resolving an image is with contrast and rasterizing targets that are similar in signature to their background. When this happens, alot of times illuminators brighten the image but do not help in resolving that image. For this reason, getting a great tube in your clip-on is well worth it.

Do run a mount with can’t or line up perfectly? I’ve read that the CNVD LR is sensitive to any misalignment

You definitely wouldn't want a canted scope mount regardless if you are using a clip-on.

@@LicentiaArmsCo I meant canted for distance, rather than offset. For instance, a 20 MOA cant mount, etc..

A 20 or even 40 moa scope base or mount is fine with a PVS 30. I do it all the time, with less than.25 moa point of impact shift. Ad long as you can see through the pvs30 your zero is good to go. Ps I don’t think this guy understands your question or even knows a lot about what he is talking about

I have a PVS30 in Green I’m going to have to play a little more with my at 865 yards and 1,072 yards away with and without illumination
