I've watched most of your videos, yesterday at work. I'll just say thank you sir!! I'm new af to this hobby and fly a bwhoop bo6 in my house because it's cold. Yesterday I could fly straight, hit a wall and repeat. Today I'm navigating my house. I can now fly a whole battery through my house and not crash once!!! Truly amazing! Thank you

Iv only ever flown on Auto-level previously with the Phantom however found that it more or less flew itself with the GPS and auto level gear installed. I just got my 9xr Pro setup on my dual booted Mac and installed LiftOff and FPV Freestyle.

Hey Jack, thank you for the video! I'm using it as my main guide for fpv! I'm praticing on Liftoff the tutorial map, but i feel the drone very loose. It's difficult to keep in place (i only have 8h os pratice yet) but very few times and very few seconds that i succeed to align the poles Someone said to change the rate, and my question is: is this cheating? I mean, in real life it will make things difficult for me cause i made those changes in the sim? Thank you!

+Ed Smith Hi Ed! To get Liftoff you need to download it from the Steam Store. Here's a link: store.steampowered.com/app/410340/ I also have a video on my channel showing you how to connect your Taranis to the Liftoff FPV Sim :) Let me know if you need any other help. Cheers mate

Hi Jack, may I ask what you are using for settings in Liftoff? Which remote control do you use? Thank you very much !!!

I know these are geered for beginners, very good video though! As you know the physics of Liftoff have changed, do you have recomended settings for advanced acro on the new version?

+Zenman FPV Thanks Zenman. Advanced videos covering some pretty hectic moves will also be rolling out as soon as these are under the belt. As for the physic in Liftoff, I'm currently running a betatesting version which has different physics from the one that you're currently running. Will see if I can get the settings from a mate that has the current version you guys are running though :)

Hello, can I replace a small drone I lost and continue flying with the same controller and googles? I bought a combo. Do I need to make settings with the new quad? Thanks

@FPV Academy Are your maps still on the Liftoff Workshop? I can not seem to find any of the FPV Academy maps. I was hoping to use them in game since I am new to FPV quads.

when lifting off my quad keeps going up at the same throttle as video (same quad) I am using a taranis plus. is this something with transmitter settings or in game setting?

Hello Jack! For me it feels like pitch oll is happening too fast even if stick is moved just a little bit, at your videos it looks way better\smoother. Do you have any idea why it's happening? Thanks in advance!

Go to flight controller settings and set expo on Roll and Pitch to 3, much easier to learn. Jack, do the same on your TX (whatever you need say 30%) and you will find it easier to hover.

Hi, I love your videos... I am actually learning to fly my drone but I saw that EXPO should be set... I would like to know what is the ideal value to set the EXPO, on my remote control, so that I can learn to fly and race (later) with the same values... another way to ask the question is : what is the EXPO racers usualy race with? (if there is) thanks (from Canada)

Hey Claude! Great question. Definitely start flying with some expo when you start out. As you get better, you want to to drop it down. Keep me posted on your progress! Cheers

+Christopher P. (MrToaf) hahaha epic!! Yeah unfortunately you won't be able to practice some of the hovering techniques in this video on FPV Freerider since it's lacking some of the basic physics such as ground effect generated by the quad. I would seriously recommend getting Liftoff and even running it in a window on the lowest settings possible :)
