You're a good teacher, Cricket. Well done.
Love too see you guys interacting with fans and pilots two thumbs up
Who knew crickets could fly backwards? Corey is my hero. Backwards magician, LOL
Cricket is a kickass coach!
Awesome tips, guys! Thanks! 😃
This guy is a natural teacher.
Definitely going to start practicing that. Excellent video!!
I love cricket’s style the most IMO. I have been working on my reverse and other tricks that Cricket does. Just a tip. You can also use wind to your advantage too.
Great tutorial. Thanks!
i was searching backwards tutorial and now you upload this at the right time..
Nice job cricket. That's a good tutorial. Also great work ron. The first try was really good
Dude! You’re a great teacher!
This Cricket guy has great energy. Keep pushing the limits youngman. You're a beast
Awesome flying Ron, I'd be so nervous I wouldn't even be able to fly forwards. You did great on camera, you should be in front of the camera on your channel more often. Great instructional video Cricket.
Reminds me of looking at the pool roof for orientation when learning backstroke 🏊♂️

Best RR video I've seen in a while.
Love that! Tried but I really struggle on keeping the height ! But I will try harder , no give up on this I love backward flying !
great video
Sonic the Hedgehog... hilarious... best line of the video. Your backwards flying is awesome, super cool.
And with a reversing radar ?! Bip Bip Bip ! Nice backward style Cricket ✨
Cricket, that was awesome and passing on the qwad knowledge of flying backwards, I am impressed! It will be a long time before I attempt that but I will definitely try it once I have the experience. Keep it real, and LTRIP!™
I enjoyed watching it! Thanks for the video. Wish you made a giveaway haha!
nice video
theFPVgeek has that good hair lol Nice work, the geek did a great job.
Great tutorial. What range of camera angle do you recommend for this type of trick? I've tried something similar in Liftoff, but 45-50 deg. is way too much to keep track of direction and altitude. I really like this type of video where you have someone learn it from scratch. That way, we get to see all the common mistakes and the progression.

I dont believe he uses much camera tilt at all
Tried it today (with a toothpick-class, because of no damage on crashing 😏). It gives some Spice to the flying, I must say and I'm flying 3d too 🙃
Spread the sticks to steer it for backwards flight makes the yaw proper for the angle of the drone, right?
The fact that Cricket flies zero degrees tilt, makes this move much easier. When I try this I always end up climbing hard. (30 degrees)

What kind of camera angle have you found to be helpful for flying backwards? I usually have a quite high camera angle,but I think it is easier with a smaller one? ...just started learning to fly backwards a few days ago still not sure yet what camera angle I need / want
Well done! Have never tried this, gotta give it a shot, so once you yaw spin backward, I’m assuming you then pitch backward slightly to keep that backward momentum? If you did mention that, I missed it!
Sweet I’m heading out to practice that shit now !!! Way to represent Balmore Hon !!!!
Double A approved!

@@CRICKETFPV I've been flying with 25-30° angle, backwards is getting better,too =) I reckon you just gotta have more speed for a good backward line at a higher angle. Your descriptions about the locking in helped me a lot, Cricket! Great teaching!
Luck? You need to be the luckiest guy in area then ;)
What modes for backward? I cant figure out how to do backward flying using acro mode
The first time I saw that was way back in one of Kabab's videos where he explained that if you just yaw 180° you're basically at the same attitude, just backwards...^^ Of course Cricket perfected this and topped it with his backwards dives. They truly are amazing.
DJI system gives me so much confidence **shanking hands** "please don't break, please don't break"
In a few videos I’ve seen (ie: Johnny FPV One take with a dirt bike), there’s a few scenes where the drone appears to be able to fly backwards at high speed but keep the camera pointed down on the subject. I don’t believe the drone is running a gimbal, how do they do this?

Trick is to use zero roll =] If you're flying and only yaw until 180? You'll be going the same as you were before but backwards, locked in. Subtle roll for correction but letter roll!

I've been really considering the DJI system, but your guys' subliminal advertising is pushing me away from it. Every video is "brought to you by DJI", "sponsored by DJI", and it's just too dang rehearsed to be convincing. After seeing how the goggles look on you guys, I have to wait until they come out with version 2 of them. Great video otherwise though.
@kabturek

they are legally obliged to say that. at least you know they are sponsored (not like the fake banggood reviewers that live from affiliate marketing). Just take everything with a a grain of salt.
@plemli
4 жыл бұрын
@Chris Stone It seems like DJI never ever makes anything compatible with anything else, including their own products. It's a highly negative aspect and limiting how much one wants to "invest". I for one would spend a lot more knowing that e.g. the goggles I'd buy today would work with any older equipment and also with what comes next and next after.

@@kabturek Very good point, and I shouldn't have been so rude with my goggle wearing comment, but it does get a bit old seeing dji over and over again. I guess that's what I was getting after. Not hating on the system though... I can't, because I haven't tried it yet.
@swissfreek

For what it's worth, I was put off by the "hype" as well at first. But some of my friends who aren't sponsored by anyone have gotten them, and *their* response has been the same as all the videos, even to the point where some of them were like "I thought they'd be decent, but figured it was a lot of hype, but it's not, and I'm completely sold." No, they're not perfect, and I haven't had a chance to try them, but so far I haven't heard anyone say anything different than what RotorRiot has been saying.
@swissfreek
4 жыл бұрын
@@RADERFPV Ultimately, they gotta pay the bills. I have yet to talk to a single person that has tried these things and not been blown away (OK fine, maybe Steele, but that's par for the course isn't it?). So it's not like they are using them even though they don't really work just because they are being paid. Same way FliteTest became sponsored by Horizon and now exclusively uses Spektrum radios.
People are ding dongs if they think the 100s of times cricket goes backwards pulling off cool shit is luck. Even i can go backwards a lil without crashing everytime. Not like cricket of course.
Looks easy.... but it is not. Can you do a nother video just see the stickmovement as well?
The secret is lots of $ for gorpos and quad parts. The backwards flying is cool but it feels like each trick was made after MULTIPLE MULTIPLE attempts. Why do we never see longer than 20 seconds of continuous footage from Cricket? #Onepackedit
