I’ve been natural now for 2 yrs and have never wore my natural hair always in braids but since this Coronavirus I have been forced to learn how to maintain my own hair and have viewed many videos and yours was the one that has helped me to perfect the twist and it does matter how you twist your hair for your twist outs to to look great

I understand the process but, I can't seem to keep my grabbed sections even. I end up with an uneven, bumpy flat twist. I guess I need to practice more or is there a method for that?

Yes practicing will definitely help with that! You can also use the rat tail comb to divide your sections. So the same way I do the starter piece, is the same way you can part it through out the section. Yes it will take more time but if that’s what it takes, Go for it! 😁

Also use smaller sections.

I love flat twists. So much. They're so easy and so pretty. Unfortunately my hair has become ridiculously thin and my flat twists aren't very defined (it just looks like one long roll and that makes me sad). I'm going to try grabbing smaller sections next time to see if that works better.

What products would you recommend to use for flat twist? Would twisting creams, puddings or curling creams work?

Thanks so much for this! I loved when you noticed that you were going too fast and you started over (like you didn't edit it out). I am struggling with gripping the pieces. When I finish it's like the twist is sticking out but you can see where the hair is attached to the scalp in a sense :( I know you are supposed to grip closer to the root but sometimes it's hard when you try to hold everything so you won't lose your spot and etc

Lol thank you ☺️ yes I understand what you mean completely! More practice will help with that. The more you do it, the more you’ll figure out what works for you. I will also say try pressing down on your scalp from time to time to relieve pressure on your grip.. I hope this helps a little 💖

The way that I maintain the tightness is by having a tight grip the whole time in twisting and it is very easy to unravel (doesn’t take much time at all) 😊

I feel like it depends on how tight you’re able to flat twist. And also if the twists are not too big, it should work. Thanks for supporting!! 💕

My problem isn’t twisting the sides it’s the middle part that I can’t seem to get right. I usually still to just doing 2 twists but I want to be able to do 4. That style is sooo cute
