HOW TO FLASH REPLACE MOTORCYCLE COOLANT HONDA AFRICA TWIN 2017

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This video is a how to... Change coolant on a motorcycle 2017 Honda Africa Twin. It also includes a brief demonstration how to remove the Heed Engine protection bars and fairings on this motorcycle. This simple maintenance should be performed every 3-4 years. I see a lot of water pumps go on this bike and that could be one of the simple tasks that can prevent it. It is a good idea to check the breather tube just below the coolant drain plug that it is not clogged with mud or debris especially if you have OEM skid plate as the dirt can easily pug in the breather tube. The process is pretty simple and can be performed by anyone to keep your investment in top shape. Most of the time I am getting my parts at Rocky Mountain Power House in Calgary that is also the place where I have purchased my motorcycle.

Hi Sir, great and detailed video as usual! Just wondering how the second (left side) radiator, fill itself to the top with coolant and the air is able to be pushed out of it? Regards!

They are connected together and that's why you run your bike with the cup open for a bit you will see you will have to top it up as the coolant gets a bit lower and once top up start the bike again to make sure your coolant it up to the neck of the filling cap. Collant starts to rise when it is full. You can look it up also in Service shop manual.

did mention just idle for few min not to make it hot correct? Warm fluids drain slightly better and that's common sense, you don't have to be certified mechanic. Same goes for oil change. My friend is a Mechanic at Toyota for many years he always recommend to do that NOT TO THE POINT WHERE ITS HOT. I did warm it up a bit too much when I was doing this video 😉 The engine was warmer then the fluid itself
