How to fix zipper on jeans.
If you have a pair of jeans with a broken zipper, even if you think they're beyond repair, don’t get rid of them just yet. With a little bit of guidance and some basic sewing skills you might be able to fix the zipper. It's not a time consuming job, it should be done in less than half and hour. Give it a try before your favourite jeans lands in the bin.

После поджатия, не долго работает. Лучше заменить бегунок, а поджать можно и не распарывая и не снимая бегунок.

This worked well quick tip most the time you can keep the zipper on and just put pressure on it like you did. Push the the zipper together so u dont have to take it off

сколько ненужных операций )) Для чего нужно было саму молнию разбирать то ? Ну , надо поджать , (хотя поджатие бегунка при его износе бесполезно , лучше ставить новый ), соберите зубы на молнии , заведите туда бегунок и поджимайте поочередно левую и правую сторону . Распарывать молнию нужно лишь если ставишь новый бегунок , а можно вставить и без распарываний , аккуратно через зуб . Я в ремонте работаю и тысячи неразъемных молний установил , на всю операцию без распарывания от полминуты до нескольких уходит в зависимости от замка и места . Джинсовые молнии не поджимаю если они не новые разогнутые , бесполезно , почти сразу молния опять разойдется невовремя

если есть руки, то аккуратно распороть и по старым швам втачать новую молнию, сейчас продаются любые нитки и молнии, есть оригинальные джинсовые, так же с YKK нет проблем, никто и не узнает что молнию заменили.

An easier way to do this without having to cut any thread or anything sewn together on your jeans is to go to the bottom of the zipper take pliers and rip off like two or three of the little zipper prongs on each side, and then slip in pliers and pinch it together And to prevent the zipper from coming off the track again you just sew it together where you took the prongs off

Smart tip, but save the hassle of cutting any zip-prongs and just find another way to apply pressure by putting inserts between the zipper and hand prongs to squeeze the right spot, or hammer it lightly

After a couple of days, the zipper will come back again and everything will have to be repeated again and again. And in a week it will break, since even YKK makes locks from silumin - this is such a cheap alloy of aluminum and silicon. It is quite hard, but does not withstand repeated bending and breaks. Friends, you shouldn’t save money - just replace the zipper with a new one, that’s all - this is advice from Russia...
