How To Fix Your X2 GEL BLASTER with METAL GEARS | Upgrade Broken JM-X2 Blaster Plastic Gear Repair
The X2 gel blaster is notorious for stripping gears. I got my hands on the metal gear kit, so in this video, I will show how easy it is to replace the stock plastic gears with metal gears. If your JM-X2 splat ball blaster is not working because the gears are broken or stripped, then it can be fixed and repaired using this metal gear kit.
In this video, I completely take apart the JM-X2 Gel Blaster, replace the plastic gears with metal gears and reassemble it showing every step of how to put it back together. If there's something wrong with your blaster you can follow this guide on how to disassemble it, fix the problem, and reassemble it to get it working again.
If your blaster is making a whining sound and not working, you can fix it by replacing the gears. There are plastic and metal gear replacement options. There's no reason to replace with plastic ones, since the metal ones will last much longer.

Im interested in experimenting with upgrades on cheaper gel blasters like this, specifically stress testing the gearbox with stronger springs to see how much extra fps i can squeeze out of them. Any idea where to find springs? This one seems skinnier than standard v2 gearbox springs.

Yes, it should work. Basically the same gearbox.

trying to figure out my XYL mp5 it looks the same gear. where can i buy this metal gear? and what size it is?
This gun jams a lot. does upgrade help it less jam.

Your pinion gear on the motor stripped the bevel gear. You need to replace the gears like I show in the video.

hey ! i was using my splatrball gun srb400 model, and it seems like the little plate behind the trigger got knocked out of place and it wont shoot if i don’t have that fixed. how can i fix it?

I probably can, but is it worth it besides a few minutes of fun? The piston rack is plastic, so not sure how much more spring it can handle.

One could be found to fit in that tiny battery box, but it won't have a lot of capacity.

This doesn't change FPS. The spring would need to be replaced with a stronger spring to increase FPS
