I’m glad I’m not the first boy one who swears during repairs
Great video guys, yes it appears to be a common maintenance problem. I didn't have any trouble fixing my rear sensors without jacking or removing the wheels. The sensor red tab (there some variations in what they look like but they all remove the same way) should be fully out to be able to remove the connector and all the way in, as you said listen for a click to know it's locked on. The plugs are quite a snug fit so even when the red tab is out they will need a little persuasion to get off, they've also got a flexible seal around the connector body, so be patient. I also blow out the sensor hole in the braking plate with compressed air as an extra precaution. Definitely having a small 6mm (1/4") drive socket set, even a cheap one from the hardware store, makes a big difference on jobs like this.
Everyone I know has had this issue…
Just bought a jeep and I had these same problem
Having this issue right now
Couldn’t just unbolt the rear control arm or front for ease of operation?

I thought about it but was worried about having to reattach it. Was just trying to remove as little as possible. However that would have made it easier. Thanks for the view and the comment
seems to be a jeep thing. Had to replace sensors a couple times now on the wifes jeep. I've never had a vehicle with so many problems while having less than 100k kms. Cant wait to sell it lol

Oh you haven’t had many vehicles we see. I’ve driven and owned many vehicles Jeeps are the easiest to work on fewest issues. I guess you gotta know about vehicles.

@@DomCapoDM I know enough to know that jeeps are over-priced, boring to drive rust buckets lol.

At least they are easy to work on. I stopped working on my vehicles a while back. I started again when we got a couple of Wranglers.
Thanks for the info. Just a hint, take off your shades when talking to the camera. Body language-wise, wearing sunglasses when talking to someone is the same as staring at them. (that's why cops do it. It's intimidating and doesn't give away what the cop is thinking/looking at) Again, thank for the video. Now time to get out to the driveway and check my VSSs.
Would this be the solution to a P0501 code?

Thank you for your question and yes it is the code for the speed sensor.
What about just cleaning the sensor or whatever it reads

Never has worked for me
Fronts need tire off, back no...
My 13 is doing this….but it’ll stall momentarily too… like the wheel is breaking …..hoping its not more than a sensor. Thoughts?

Ours was just the sensor, so hopefully that’s all it will be with yours. Wheelbearings go bad from time to time so that’s the only thing that I know that I could be if it’s not the sensor.

My 13 JK was doing the same thing. Momentarily stall while making left turn. Didn’t have any lights coming on so it drove me nuts. Searching KZread lead me to the sensors. Quested it was the front left. Changed that sensor still had problem. Changed right front, still had stalling problem. Changed both rears problem gone. Seems it’s the rears that are giving everyone fits.
The repairs look like a genuine pain in the ass. I also hear those red tabs can get broken, if you are applying pressure incorrectly, when locking the sensor in place. Sounds to me like it is worth a trip to the dealer, for the repair.
