Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’d watched several videos and followed the troubleshooting instructions. Nothing worked. Your video was the only one to mention how to check for a failed backlight. Bingo, that was it. I’ll have to get a new tv but at least I can rest assured that’s the problem and can stop with the endless troubleshooting 🙏 🙏 🙏

I think my problem is the same I used the TV with a ps4 for around 3.5 years and I tried everything from removing . Soo same better just buy a new one

This is driving me insane.. my tv has the red blinking light sharp aquos quantton lc-52d64u.. so I've tried the resets cords out etc. When I do that I only get it to change from the red flashing light to orange.. guess I will be watching the red dot tonight.

Hello, my name is Bryce and about 5 years ago we bought a sharp tv, ever since we have noticed that it keeps turning off by itself, the model is a sharp tv lc-60p6070u and we just wanted to know if you have any idea how to fix it. How do you reset remote?

I have a Sharp 80” LC-80LE632U that has half of the screen has a great shadow over the entire right side. I can barely see an image below it. If you know what part this is or how to fix it I would appreciate it. Matt

Here’s my situation… I have a 65 inch Sharp Roku TV, and it doesn’t turn on. Well, the red button flashes as if it IS turning on, but nothing comes up on the screen (it stays black). I tried all of the tips, but none of them worked. Finally, I did the trick where you turn the TV on and shine a flashlight on it, and I DEFINITELY saw some writing on the screen (very faded, but I could see it). Soooo I pretty much HAVE to get the backlight fixed/replaced or throw the TV away and get a new one. I don’t know how expensive it would be to fix, but if it’s more than like 150 bucks, I’m just gonna throw it away. Shame, because I’ve only owned the darn TV for like a year and a half!!!

Please, can anyone help me??? I have Sharp 50BL2KA, the backlights on the screen started flickering once in a while and then stopped and then one day without it flickering, the entire screen gradually faded to a black screen. I shut it off and restarted and it came on but just faded to black so just getting audio with no video. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on a remedy to this situation.

The logo sharp comes out and the blue light for power is on occasionally it puts off no picture comes out

Didn’t work. I also tried factory reset, didn’t work. And have been told by everyone I talk to that fixing it will cost almost as much as buying another tv. Forced Obsolescence really sucks ass.

I am having the same issue. The Sharp logo is casted in shadow on the left side (like an ombré effect) & the tv stays on for 5 seconds before turning off. Nothing has fixed the issue so looks like a new TV is the only resolution

Mine is turning the yellow light on and after a few seconds it goes off.

My problem is that the tv has sound and backlight but I cannot see any image on the screen (except for the backlight) and the TV’s UI isn’t showing up either but I know it is still working as when I pressed the switch input button I see the backlight brighten. Model: LC-46D85U. It is an older sharp tv that has been used for a while so I wouldn’t be too bummed to throw it away. Just wanted to give it a second chance.

Now after you have done all this advice I have one tip that will work unless it’s really stuffed At the back in the position of the where the electronic are Two hard flat hand hits on the rear of the tv I had the same problem with my Tv Followed steps one to five. Five been unplugged and left over night Replugged I’m the morning still nothing, so I gave it a few hard thumps on the back And hey presto working So it is the old saying If In doubt give it a clout
