Which step worked for you?

I was troubleshooting my sharp lc-80le646e and couldnt bring myself around to just disposing it after several years of pure enjoyment :-( . Replaced all the capaictors on the power board (getting a replacement was a nightmare) I even had someone reflow the mainboard and test the T board. Initial problems were verticle lines, screen freezing and power cycling eventually just wouldnt power on (constant flashing logo). I was about to give up and then tried this you restored my confidence in the human race :-)

I have a Sharp Aquos cystal TV Model LC-46D43U it is not a smart TV as I bought it new 2005. The TV when I turned it on the picture did not come on a couple of weeks ago and the only thing I could see was a blue light blinking in the lower right hand corner of the TV. Then I shut the TV off ithe blinking blue light stays on. so the TV constantly blinks on and off (the small blue light) I bought a main board for this TV and after installing the new board and plugging it in the blue light begin blinging again so I am back to square one and maybe my problem is not the main board or maybe I was sent a bad board although they said the board came out of new TV that had been damaged.What do you think about this matter. I have a sharp tv that shuts off after a couple of second after being turned on. I can't even make it to the setup to factory reset it. I don't have am input button on the side of the tv. Only a joystick type switch to manually turn it on. It has volume and channel on the same joystick button as on /off.

Thanks but It did not work on my Sharp LC-70LE657U. When it first powers up the only thing you see is the Sharp logo dimming from light dark. At about 1 minute being on the tv turns off and quickly turns back on. It does the same cycle about 4 time. At about 4 to 5 minutes the tv shuts off completely....then I get a 3 slow and 1 fast blinking light. I would appreciate your help.

Please apply rest to factory settings. If the light continues to flash, run a factory reset to delete stored data and return the television to its original factory settings. You will lose any saved apps and passwords, but a fresh start may solve the problem. To run a factory reset, unplug the power again. Simultaneously press and hold the "input" and "channel down" buttons on the remote. Plug the TV back into power and wait for the television start while you hold down these buttons. Select "Service Mode" from the menu and then select "Factory Reset" to restore the original settings. Wait until the television shuts down and restarts before checking the OPC light.

There are many reasons for this flashing or blinking. So please recheck as below: 1. Disconnect all external devices and cables from tv 2. Unplug tv power cable for 15 minutes 3. Recheck the electric power source, surge. Try to connect directly from electric outlet. 4. Keep away heavy electric devices from tv 5. If possible re plug inner display cables tightly 6. Dang I tried this cause my power light was blinking and kept shutting my tv 📺 off after 2-4 secs. Ugh now it won’t turn on. I believe it is officially 💀. Guess I will be tv shopping this weekend. Great tips tho!

Hey friend , the blinking of either the power light or the OPC (Optical Picture Control) light is an error message or fault code. It is not easy to tell what is causing the error. It may be a setting on the television, it might be a problem with the firmware or a mechanical issue that requires service. Can you please share background of the problem. Thanks

It worked to the extent that I can turn it on (to green light) but it goes back to red light after a few seconds and stays there. Can do that a couple of times then have to wait for awhile to get the green and the same, it goes back to red.

@@FIXNETFLIX I removed all connected devices. I unplugged it waited and plugged it (many tries) but still not working. I tried to unplug it and hold power and channel down on the tv buttons (not the remote), did not work. I tried it with the remote the next time, still not working. Once I press the ON button from the remote it would just open to SHARP logo on screen and red light will keep blinking on the bottom then after it will go black but still on then after some time it will go off.

mine doesn't have the power button on the actual tv. what can i do? should i press the reset button? it's the only one i can find!

MINE HAS A RED LIGHT BUT NO PICTURE AND NO SOUND :( I UNPL8GGED THE POWER CORD AND WAITED BUT DIDN'T WORK :( I CAN'T PUSH THE BUTTON BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ONE :( I REPLACED THE 2 MAIN BOARDS AND STILL DOESN'T WORK :( I CALLED SHARP AND THEY WALKED ME THROUGH THE SAME STEPS AND STILL DOESN'T WORK :( WHAT DO I DO TO FIX THIS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD TV :(

My tv blacked out with no sound. It won’t turn back on and the led light flashes…what do I do to fix it

I have a 58c sharp roku. It just randomly went out and flashed to flashes on the standby light/input/power button. I changed the main board and main power board and still doesn't come on. Now it only flashes one flash now. Any suggestions? It doesn't have volume or channel buttons. Just a power/input button.

This did not work for me. I left it unplugged for over a month. I went to plug it back in now to try it and it still does not work. It's a Sharp Roku, the red light still blinks when I try to turn it on, but still will not turn on. Can anyone help??

My TV comes on an off but freezes after but 15 seconds every time. Only can turn it back off?????

Tried this and it just stays red and won’t turn on. Anything else I can do?

Dear kenny sauced, after apply this method no improvement. That’s mean hardware problem on the tv. There are many reasons behind this problem. 1. Power supply 2. Main board 3. This is happening due to incorrect voltage supply from psu. If you’re expert on electrical devices then open back cover and identify the constrain on psu. Where in the heck is the power button on the 60” model LC-60P6070U?

Didn't work for me. :( It'll turn on with a solid green light and then it starts blinking again. One solid green goes to two blinking lights :(

It works partially with my tv. I goes back blinking red

I tried it twice but the red blink turns out into yellow and orange .. what will I do ?

Dear sir please try to factory reset by following method. To run a factory reset, unplug the power again. Simultaneously press and hold the "input" and "channel down" buttons on the remote. Plug the TV back into power and wait for the television start while you hold down these buttons. Select "Service Mode" from the menu and then select "Factory Reset" to restore the original settings. Wait until the television shuts down and restarts before checking the OPC light. Please let us know if this helps or not
