Thx. I'we tried that but in my case the LG-TV (47LN540V) only shows the LG logo for split of a second, then its black. What can be wrong then? May I have to open it up and change some components? Capasitors perhaps? 🤔

I checked and it doesn't have any name on it, it's just a blank one that they put in case you loose your remote.

@@TricksTipsFix yeah mine neither. Maybe 24 hours unplugged with dance as draining residual juice as you're kind of saying. Mine is a garage tv that didn't get left on for 24hrs at a time..like two of ours. But I wonder of uber cold of winter has an effect on LCDs. Also, from working fine and dandy to dead screen...seeming as not booting?..methinks there was an electrical storm. ~ No real close strikes but I've seen the electronics for a truck scale go belly up from a cloud/ground strike a quarter click off......"back in the 70s" I shortly worked for a Heat and AC company... when cwazy electrical storm went on through there were small rashes of blown condensers on outside AC units. Not always, but rash happened...and the Bulge of condenser was obvious. ^^^maybe the TV on/off will do same as that extra button does if don't have one? erm ~ ~ Have a great year TTF.

Thanks for the quick fix. But my LG TV stopped working after I went to power up the TV with my remote and a small spark come from the power cord connection on the back of the TV. I am hoping that it is the power supply board where the cord connection is.

Damn idk where you found that video, the one I watched was with a guy trowing the whole TV on a bunch of eggs

This worked for me once, I actually thought it was the remote but after checking, replacing battery (and checking with multimeter) it didn't work. I tried this trick again but the tv still doesn't respond to the remote. I think I need to replace the IR sensor on my tv.

I have 2 plug in n unplug 2 get it 2 come on or off can u help me?
