How to fix wire connectors on your car

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Rats often crew through sensor wires damaging them. Fortunately soldering and repairing automotive wire connections is pretty easy... once you find the short.

Thank you, you are the first video i found to have actually shown and demonstrated how to fix the actual connector not just replace the whole thing. Thank you sir!

Thanks, my connector needed to be removed to get those severed terminals out. I needed to repair or replace the connector but somehow I searched and up came this video. I never got the tool but used to 2 pins to do the trick. Thanks to the info I managed to get it done but life would have been so much simpler with that terminal removal tool. Thanks again all the way from Cape Town South Africa

Good "how to" video! When soldering wires together, it's best to heat the wires before applying the solder to them. Keep the tip of the soldering iron on the wires until hot, then apply the solder so it flows onto the wires.

The wires going to the connector is twisted pair. Twisted pair cabling is a type of wiring in which two conductors of a single circuit are twisted together for the purposes of improving electromagnetic compatibility. Make sure to twist the cables you replace.

I just found a wire that was a little thicker gauge than the wire on the car. I figured as long as it was as least as thick, it won't overheat, etc. I also used heat shrink tubing over the entire length as an added protection against heat and oil.
