On my 1999 Boxste, I removed belt to install new water pump. On reinstallation of the belt, I noticed the AC pulley could rotate freely. Is this normal? Car has 40k miles.

There are several coolants like Peak and Zerex that actually say they are Porsche compatible. That’s proof enough.

How did you get to the center bolt out of the right side transmission mount? I’ve been told there are special tools to get it out but haven’t found an explanation. Great Video’s and I appreciate your input!

The rest of this video is bla bla, one of the worst mods is a uprated clutch pressure plate. Then to gear fast means your kicking the hell out of the crank thrust/crank walk.

Bla bla. All a flywheel is energy stored in a spining mass. Its how engine rpm drops to fast for road use or slow gear changes.

Should flush the system with coolant, not plain water. The coolant is the lubricant for the water pump. Imagine running your engine without oil.... Any idea what the torque setting is for that drain plug?

Thanks, very enjoyable and down to earth likable. I’ve been an aviation mechanic for over 35+ years and I don’t think that it could’ve been presented in a better manner. Although you’re first video did start out a little dorky, you definitely met the challenge, and came out above in the end. Keep up the good work. PS. If your main seal goes out within the next 6 months or so, you wont be so eager to pay the price. Hopefully you changed it, but just didn’t include it in the video, if not don’t tell anybody lol.

Long time ago I was considering light flywheel for reason that about to spin out, off the gas and able to regain control because less inertia the engine immediately slows down. Now I don't care as car is just transportation.

Done 70,000 miles on my LN, no seal and no lube, car now 120,000 total mileage, change oil & Filter every 5000 miles, you pays your money and takes your chance. part of the problem with the bearing was the inclusion of the seals, once the grease had gone you could not get enough lubrication in there, i would be interested to know where you sourced your hybrid ceramic bearing, as i should be replacing the current bearing.

This is a good start BUT it's 7 years old and DOES NOT MEET FORD STANDARDS!!! My 2013 Ford Explorer Sport requires Dot 4 LV BUT it also says that the fluid MUST meet or exceed: "WSS-M6C65-A2" AND "ISO 4925 Class 6". Failure to use a fluid that meets or exceeds those standards may in fact damage your braking system. You can google those standards to find out more information but basically they have less viscosity which is needed for ABS systems that may also utilize automatic braking while using cruise control. All Poly Glycol brake fluids are NOT created equal so you should check your owners manual and BE SURE TO CHECK THE FOOTNOTES, so that you get the proper fluid for your brakes.

Would I bother using a light flywheel on a read car? No though have in the past. Racecar however [roadrace and speedway] they are essential and ideally you should also use a lighter balancer as well. As well as a smaller dia one. Or more importantly a smaller far lighter clutch. Centrifigual mass is a real issue, smaller mass the better the engine responds. Balance? IF the engine is balanced to suit there is no issues, even a 40lb nuetral balance clutch and flywheel can use one half that weight. Or speedway use just a small dia flywheel with a conical clutch.

plastic is not plastic and there are also variants in metal. Long time ago the vendors tried to save cost with cheap plastic, but if PP GF40 is used, it should last a long time. Plastic has better flow and lower load on the bearing which fail often on water pumps. On metal it can also fail on the weld, cast iron has also a limited lifetime. Some vendors use brass, not sure whats the advantage. Its quite soft and corrossion shouldnt be a big problem. So every material has its pro and cons. Just saying metal vs. plastic doesnt tell anything.

Very well done video, extremely clear, thank you. A question for you: I have the bumper cover off of my Boxster to do this because I'm doing some other things as well. When you remove the large metal bracket with the 2 - 13mm bolts and 1 - 13mm nut, won't the radiator drop with the bumper cover off unless you use something to tie it up and hold it in place?
