In many cases, the defogging function also automatically switches the A/C to intake air from outside.

Another trick if you having a long trip , and only fogs in a certain area , try to adjust your A/C levels . If its the area colder or humid , turn down the AC gradually every 10KM you entering the area . If its hotter but drier , it wont fog . Its called condensation where the temperature in your car and the outside atmosphere have very sudden change of temperature difference

Also pro tip. Inspect your cabin air filter might be dirty

Man this happened to me suddenly on the motorway when it suddenly started raining. Had to follow the rear lights on car upfront otherwise would have had accident

It happened to us the other day, when my husband was driving in motorway then suddenly hard rain poured out, the windshield was so foggy, and I remembered what I watched from IG so I switched on the antifog switch, A/C had switched on automatically and thank God we we’re saved 🙏🏻 it’s so dangerous to drive when it is raining and foggy. fog stick to dirty windshield more than to clean windshield... so clean it good on the inside and the fog will dissappear very quickly

Newer ever have the inner circultion on! That is the biggest issue why its moisture inside in the first place. Press on auto and it will fix it 4you!

inner circulation is usefull sometimes. IF you want to cool down the car faster in summer. Or if you are going trough a dusty road (yes, you have filters, but this way, you can prevent them from clogging up), you stop in trafic behind smelly or smoky car. But you use it for only short amount of time. like 5 minut max. It has it's uses.

If you have hvac that you can set temperature just set it to outside temp.

If your air con isn't working and the inside of your car glass is actually wet then get a cheap window vacuum. Works a treat.

Not all cars have these options or buttons. Just drive with your windows a bit open on both sides driver seat and passenger seat and voila.

How to clean without AC or heater??

A microfiber cloth works, but I would be careful with windows that are tinted cause it may scratch the film. My technique actually works.

Ummm some of us in the states drive old cars, where most of Europe you're not allowed to drive a 15+ year old car without big fines. I have a 17 year old car and the defrost doesn't work

Its just circulation. The icon with the arrows in a circle means no outside air coming in and circulates only air inside car. Good to use when air outside is bad, dusty etc or you run over a skunk

Some people are so dumb they can't even work out how to turn on the radio. Others are so stupid they will drive 5kms or more with the blinker on. And half a nation can't even read numbers. I've seen a video of a woman putting gasoline into plastic bags and then put them into her trunk. People who drive BMW's , Mercedes-Benz lexus can't even use a bloody indicator when changing lanes or turning sharp corners

And if you don't like using a rock just grab a jug of boiling water and pour it out on both front and back windows this way you will still get clear visibility
