Real fucking ironic my basically new ps4 pro glitches after the update before Christmas.

TYSM, I didn’t have to do the update part, since I checked the system and it said that it’s already on 9.03

Honestly im grateful your helping out people because sony sure as hell isn't but i've tried every damn thing safe mode, USB initialize, new hard drive everything and I give up i can't speak for everyone but most of us are just bent over a barrel with this update also I know I sure as hell can't get ahold of a ps5 and after this cluster fluff I don't think I'm going to, I'm glad some people can have their systems run and enjoy what they paid for but there's a lot of people that can't and it's going unnoticed and sony is expecting people to go blow someone in a back alley just to get a ps5 and that's why we all want sony to go piss up a rope

Every time I try to rebuild the database it clicks off and then comes back with this and all buttons are frozen. It’s a never ending loop.

Guys if you don’t have a usb cable restart your ps4 multiple times until it worked… took my 3 times but it has worked for me

Sony will be responsible for the shortage of usb cables, disk drives, usb sticks and do it yourself kits when all is said and done.

I did some research and from what I’ve read if your blue ray drive is not working it pretty much doesn’t matter how much you rest it. You’ll still get and error until the blue ray drive is replaced.

Yo Moe gaming none of ur strategys work it keeps saying cannot start the ps4 after we rebuild our database that doesn't work and we already updated to software system and it still says cannot start the ps4 bro I'm telling you that sony is doing this on purpose and I'm extremely pissed because I was playing assassin creed and my game was lagging frame to frame and after I close my game I went to turn off my ps4 and for some reason my ps4 is taking so long to turn off so I just unplug to the system and put it back and that's where this bug is starting to happen to everyone

I've done all of this, and it still doesn't work. Even factory reset my console as a last resort. Still won't work ever since the 8.52, and this new 9.03 update has made it where I can't even get to my profile screen

@@elliotthatdude24 The new update has made it worse, just said that my database is corrupted despite me rebuilding it, and now it won't even let me rebuild it without giving me an error. Rip, and Sony is acting blind to the issues they are making for us.

i need help bad, so when i cut my console on it comes up cannot start console insert usb with firmwire 9.03 i downloaded the update from playstation put it on a usb format32 created PS4 folder all caps inside it created another folder UPDATE all caps and inside it put the firmwire update file i downloaded stuck it in console and says couldn't load save insert usb with 9.03 firmwire, so then i cut off console and did the safe mode thing and tried again usb same thing redid safe mode and did download from internet it downloads and says restart and it will start update and i click update it restarts but brings me back to the screen saying cannot start please insert usb with 9.03 firmwire then i watched ur vid and tried to do what u say first with the other option but when i click it it just restarts and pops up the screen about inserting usb but no matter what i do i etiher get a error alert or any time that its gonna work and restarts to do it just takes me back to the insert usb screen

Same here... My friend was in the same boat last week, so he took it apart and basically readjusted anything that looked loose. Somehow that worked, so I guess I'll be trying it myself, wish me luck..

@@x_Foxy_ finally got mine to work after opening up the part where disc goes in and it was caked with dust and pllusi i burned update to a dvdrw andused it andfinally gotit working

Oh my f*cking god... I'm so worried about my PS4 games and progress... Could you help me? I have tried the database thing, I also have tried the Internet and the USB options, but holy f*ck none of them work, and I don't know if there is any possible way to fix this safe mode lock thing without losing all my PS4 memory... I really need help...

My ps4 keeps crashing I need help. It's done it out of no where I'll load into ANY game play for about 5 mins and it'll just freeze and krash and wont let me press anything or turn off the PS4. I'll have to unplug the power cord from the PS4 or out the socket and it'll do the same thing and I've looked up multiple videos of how to get this solved nothing has worked..

So are the reinstallation file and update file the same thing? Doesn't seem to be a difference from the website, but I'd rather not have the same file twice on my drive if that's the case

The reinstallation file will wipe everything off your game.

It has to be a compatible usb cord to the controller. Go buy a Sony USB cord. But if your disc drive is broken, the update screwed you just like it did me.

I had to do option 6 the others didnt work :(

PS4 button don't work

I can’t even press the ps button when I connect it to usb the light turn off and on in the controller

You need another usb cable, it has to be one that transfer data.

Its just says turn of ps4 when i try rebuild database

This happened to me the last two updates. Last time, and this time. Last time I unplugged my PS4 overnight while I slept, it worked the next day. I'm hoping it's the same case this time

You have to have an compatible USB cord for the controller in safe mode.

I tried it but my PlayStation kept on turning off when I was holding the power button 😢

I did everything but when I press update with internet it just says cannot connect to the server within the time limit

its HAS to be file data transfer type of USB NOT charging USB. Try using Samsung USB i bet it works!

Does anyone have an huge issue in ur ps4 that ur ps4 checking ur system storage and it says cannot start ur ps4 and after u turn ur ps4 off u turn on to safe mode and do a system update in safe mode and after u already update ur ps4 and went back to checking ur system storage and it's says again that it cannot start ur ps4 pls I'm not the only one with this huge issue because it is extremely frustrating and annoying
