Hi, do you have any issues with a PS4 Slim with error code SU-42118-6? i am unable to update it to version 10.50, and i also tried using different discs, safe mode all methodes,,,. do you think it can be some hardware problem?

That code means thats u have hardware problems either the hardrive ribbionnis disconnected and/or get a new hardrive make sure you have your data in the ps4

Ok but what if just 8 hours before the update was given you was on said system with everything working completly fine and in order and as soon as you attempt the download of 10.71 you are put into the download loop with everything still in functioning order but still gives you the error su-42118-3 and downloads fine installs fine but will not pass the restart without said error

I downloaded the update and install it .. but one the ps4 restarted it stucked in error Su 42118 and the controller didn't work with cable and without cable ?? Any solution plz

try using the computer and crystaldiskinfo software to check hard drive health, then full format hard drive.

if factory reset PS4 and still not working, then please clean ps4 and check hardware

I’m having the same problem too. I have tried a bunch of stuff and I’m about to just take my PS4 to a repair shop and see if they have any ideas what’s up with it.
