Thank you Chief! You have just improved my quality of life tremendously with something seemingly so simple. I have had a loose leaky faucet for a couple of years. My landlord didn’t want to send out a plumber for such a small job and I don’t blame him because I can’t imagine what it would cost just to put him in the driveway let alone fix something. I thought I would have to go under the sink and do something horribly technical to fix this problem and I have short arms. The handle was horribly loose and the only way to shut off the water was to pull it down and yank it hard to the right. It works beautifully now and I didn’t even need to purchase any parts. It’s a Christmas Miracle! Thank you!

Thank you so much. I was about to be in a bit of trouble this weekend as my apartments kitchen faucet is doing this rocking. I am scared to even wash my hands right now or my coffee cup. Going to go try this. Fingers crossed! Wow, it appears that plumbers cheat. It goes according to another forum directly to the boiler (radiator heat also). Thanks anyway. A relative used to be a plumber and the field has changed quite a bit - my how fields change.

Handle under the sink, Are you referring to the shutter valve? I pick up a clue from your writing. You said apartment. If true, you shouldn't be doing any unauthorized repairs. Plz consult with your landlord. If they refuse, pay a pro, keep a receipt and be refunded by your landlord.

Thank you for posting this! I have almost the exact same faucet, and the handle is loose. I tried tightening the screw and it was still loose, so I took that inner assembly out and noticed there is a plastic washer the screw goes through that was broken into two pieces. I tried putting a very thin plastic washer in between the two pieces, and reassembled, but it's still loose. Any ideas about whether or not putting the washer in a different place might help, or do I just need to get that part replaced?
4 жыл бұрын
You might consider replacing with the exact washer...if the problem persists then the hole is widened by the screw from 1000 of twists and turns...you can replace the whole assembly or keep on tightening it. Good luck and thank for watching...

4 жыл бұрын
U will get the exact screw at home depot , Lower etc... U need to know the name of the faucet. U can also buy an assortment of screws and look for the right one..NO, DON'T BUY ANOTHER FAUCET IF ALL U NEED IS THE SCREW. Also for tools, you will need a screw driver and the hex shown in the video- also at home depot...

Thank you I saw the other one now. Do you know the model no. and the screw in the middle I need to take out won't budge on mine and is starting to strip. Any ideas on how to unscrew it without stripping it?
3 жыл бұрын
The screw is stripping because the screw driver is either too big or too small. Moen. No model # needed. Go to home depot or Lowe's to buy MOEN repair kit. Take a picture of the faucet with you just in case someone there has to assist you.
