How to Fix Noisy Boiler, Main Heat Only Boiler.

Short Video on How I Fixed a Customers Noisy Main 24 Heat Only ERP boiler 3 Years old. The symptoms were noisy on arrival and the previous engineer said it was Air in the System. Clearly not. I take a Look, do usual checks and what i did to recitfy the Fault. Not shown are all the final Fga & Gas safety...Thanks for watching and dont forget to like if it was helpful.

Finally got the chance during this lockdown to get through your channel. Cracking content Doc, love the format of the vids, your attitude towards problems encountered and your general demeanour when it comes to explaining technical terms to customers. Reminds me of me 😂 You're a credit to the industry, wish all engineers were of the same mould

Hi -- justwtched your video -- i've worked on dozens + dozens of baxi solos -- the noise probolem was very commen ( even on new installs) -- it always occured when the boiler went into low fire after running for about half an hour -- the problem is the gas rate from the gas valve is to high on low fire ,it just needed adjusting on the gas valve ( only a slight tweek on the gas pressure adjuster screw !!

Ahhh the dreaded farting noise,, first thing i think of is poor combustion on low... did you analyze it prior to removing the gas valve, was there a high and low setting on that boiler, could that valve be adjusted. mmm air in system or kettling, i agree with you that sounded nothing like either. nice work keep em coming.

Yes main 30s etc are the same boilers if a combustion performance check was performed right at the beginning you would have noticed that the offset of the valve was way out especially on low modulation thus creating harmonic drone noise and have been on the off the scales on Co curve along with the ratios . can all superstar gas engineers stop doing all these videos for the public as you pay a lot of money to be qualified and attain your qualifications just get on with your jobs and stop trying to famous or something it’s all getting boring 😴

Dr Pipe No I kept regular boiler was told combi is high pressure and would have to replace pipes as combi could break solder on old pipes. Its all money but no choice.I think its replacement capitalism where everything you have you have to keep rebuying at regular intervals.Windows pc upgrade.Mac and ipad etc.Now its my gas fire is not compliant but it still works. This boiler had to have and extra earth £150 .They said upgrade fusebox to consumer unit.Electrician said regs have recently changed and they must check all wiring and carry out any remedial works.£860 None of it will last its all made from recycled fridges and dog food tins.Just have to be philisophical and swallow.stay safe friend
