@@cartoonjerk I couldn't agree more with you. Amen to that my friend! I'm not a Chris Redfield fan at all, but those who want him should have him in the game. But that goes for everyone. Leon included. In fact I think him and Asura were the most requested characters on the Capcom side? I think Nero was up there as well. I would personally love to see Leon and what they would do with him and how versatile his kit could be. Same with Ada. Willaim G would be an insane addition. Maybe they could add his G3 form? I was always under the impression that Krauser would also be apart of MvC at some point whenever Leon gets added, so seeing him would also be super cool.

Bryon Youngblood Really? I hated the art style in MUA3. It looked like Disney Infinity. Yeah, it was cartoony, but in a softer “baby’s Saturday morning cartoon” kind of way. Not nearly as good as UMVC3’s comic book-ish style with the thick black outlines around every character. It was significantly better than MVCI though.

this is a prime of example of how passion can lead to creative ideas. when you love something, you take the time to think of what is best for that thing. @yunero There's a fault with your statement as they can pander to the MCU crowd and add obscure characters. If you remember, Captain America, Hulk, and Spiderman were in the original MvC, and IronMan was added from Marvel Superheroes in MvC2. So already you've got your appeal to the MCU crowd, and from there Capcom could've introduced them to lesser known characters from Marvel. But Igor is stingy AF, so unless he budges, we won't get squat.

I would appreciate if they went back to the Comic Book aesthetic. I appreciate that they tried new things, but when said new things turn out like Dante’s face it’s best to scrap the new stuff and go back to the old. Plus the comic book aesthetic was really unique and added tons of visual flare to the game.

Trump4Prison2021 Dragonball never held any characters back because it’s the first in the series and I totally agree with you on the Netherelm thing. Why should anyone have to pay $20 extra just to have one character early that’s eventually gonna be $5. The fact I got SFV while 80% of the roster is dlc is ridiculous too

1. Art style in the vein of UMVC3. COMIC VIDEO GAME AESTHETIC. 2. Go back to 3v3 at least but I like Max's idea for choosing 3v3/Tag/Assists. 3. At least 40-45 characters and you NEED newcomers. Give me some motherfuckin' Daredevil, Asura, Blade, and Proto Man! 4. SMOOOOOOOTH goddamn online with robust features. Ragequit = loss, have great lobby functions and features with clean connectivity. 5. Don't waste a single second on trying to do a story mode for this game if it's gonna be corny like MVCI. 6. SUPPORT THE GAME POST-RELEASE. If there's shit like TAC Infinites, patch that shit out. Keep it wild but not TOO broken. 7. DLC Fighters WITH BALLOTS. YEAH I SAID IT. Smash raised the bar for this shit. Everybody else has to play by Nintendo's fantasy-making rules now. Keep it Marvel/Capcom characters only, but let Marvel and Capcom hear WHO THE FUCK WE WANT. 8. By the end of the movie he leveled up to 24 frames a second. It made him look clumsy. Also calling somebody a tool isn't nice try not to be like that.

Max said "put in active tag or assist and let the players choose" well I say since we choose our characters make active tag and assist abilities for all characters split it between the character roster. Some characters have active tag while others have the assist ability. Like for instance since the x-men are a team say you have STORM, WOLVERINE AND GAMBIT they all would have the synergy of the assist ability because they are already a team. Now let's say you have RYU, AKUMA AND CHUN LI they all get the active tag that sets up after an air launcher attack.

It's amazing to me how you're not a consultant to these companies. They should be throwing the bag at you.

Step 1: bring back Wolverine Step 2: bring back more popular Marvel/Capcom characters like Magneto, Captain Commando, Deadpool, Jin Saotome, Gambit, Akuma, etc... Step 3: bring in requested characters from Marvel/Capcom like Punisher, Asura, Star-Lord, Leon Kennedy, Daredevil, Juri, etc... Step 4: give this game a complete design overhaul, make it as different looking from MvCI as possible Step 5: Re-release the old games (primarily X-Men vs Street Fighter and MvC2) on current gen with online play Step 6: show Wolverine in the trailer teaser Step 7: profit.

RTBFIT they should make a X-men vs street fighter 2 with much more characters

1. Bring back the X-Men 2. Bring back 3v3 with assist options 3. Bring back the 2D art style w/ HD sprites 4. Start w/ 20 chars. Let us unlock 30 = 50 chars. ( B4 DLC ) 5. Add new characters ( Blade, Ironfist, Nightcrawler, Sagat, etc. ) 6. Add returning chars. ( Jin, Gambit, Cyclops, Ruby Heart, etc. ) 7. Celebrate it w/ an Art Gallery mode and show off tons of Artwork throughout the years of MvC titles.

If Assists come back, give us Custom ones. Skullgirls did it and it is amazing. One of my biggest gripes with MvC2 and UMvC3 is that the games gave you the version of the attack for your assist. I want to use the weak version of Happy Happy Trigger instead of the unreliable strong version, for example.

@@danielmaster8776 That is what he meant. That's what Skullgirls did; you literally throw down an input in Character Select and that input becomes the assist. It's not broken at all, and works amazingly well. So long as you have a solid anti-infinite system, there should be no worries.

As much as i enjoy the Marvel movies it breaks my heart seeing them just forget about the comics

Definitely needs Dragon Ball FighterZ hand drawn design like MVC2 was.

Note that pretty much all of Max's list basically just, "reuse some or your old stuff and sell it to us again." I thought this is what game and movie companies LOVED doing! All we're asking for is MORE of what you've been giving us for decades, Capcom! It's really the easiest wish to fulfill.

It’s all licensing issues, honestly. All the old Marvel Vs games got pulled cause Mutants weren’t part of the MCU IP, so Disney wasn’t about to have a spotlight on characters they don’t fully own. These days though there’s a gradual merger between Disney and Fox (which, honestly, is an issue for monopolistic reasons) so mutants are slowly becoming on the cards again. Wait until an X Man shows up in the MCU, and then we’ll see if those legacy games return.

Skullgirls has variable team size, where you can pick to fight with either three characters, two stronger characters, and one very strong character. Smaller team means you dish out more damage, but you miss out on assists. That's something they could implement in a new MvC. Custom Assists from Skullgirls could be pretty fun, too.

Assist style: Beginner. Less potential damage but easier to pick up. Preset assists and preset triple team attacks. Active tag style: Advanced. More potential damage but more difficult to learn. Assists and triple team attack that you control.

I just hope a new MvC is based in Marvel COMICS and not the Marvel CINEMATIC universe

vffvx Outright impossible. Capcom is most definetly not a huge enterprise as Nintendo or Namco. It's actually one of the smallest gaming companies out there They're heavily lacking in resources, most likely, facilities, workers and money

These are the types of conversations that Capcom marketing and development NEED to hear. Thank you Max I'm 100% on board with this idea.

In reality, though, this is like suggesting troubleshooting solutions to your friend who knows more about computers than you do: It's very likely that some of the staff already thought of many of these steps, and would want to do it. Ideas are fun and exciting until execution comes into play. Sakurai didn't 'just' bring back all the veterans in Ultimate. He was very close to being unable to.

@@Tanner31904 I don't want an nrs game. I don't like the story mode style. Chapters mean characters are useful in one chapter and then get weak just because in the others. Make it like SFV and give all characters at least one win and can be played in different parts of the game

I’d really love a stream from Max where he just spends the whole time going through a list of topics like this and talking about it all for hours. I love hearing him discuss these things because his views and his points all coincide with what people want. I love hearing him communicate what makes these games good or bad.

I hope for either Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 remake, MvC4, a new Capcom Vs. SNK or TxSF. Just something new.

I also want to see next level character interactions like how in DBFZ and MK11 characters say unique things to each other and also give team bonuses and ability synergies like if Wolverine and Colossus are on the same team you can do a Fastball Special or letting Storm give lightning or ice buffs to teammates. Stuff like that would make team composition really cool. I want to see a Marvel Secret Wars game where each faction in Battleworld competes against each other and you could have Beyonder Dr. Doom and Galactus as final bosses.

Curve ball: CvS3 with CvS2 rerelease. THAT would blow minds. MvC2 would be nice too.

If a "4" exists, it NEEDS passion, and it needs love. MVC has two huge names behind it, embrace that, you have iconic video game characters, and some of the most iconic characters in all of fiction, that needs to be celebrated. This game, if it even exists, needs life behind it, it needs vigor, it needs excitement, only then can it succeed.

And if Disney and Capcom had the balls to take a step further, then make Disney vs. Capcom. Plus, bring on Dan and Swampy, Daron, Craig, Alex and others to help us make it an amazing game. Plus, I would even add a lot of Guest Content from Bandai-Namco, Square-Enix, SNK and SEGA into the mix too, especially with one crazy idea of mine. Captain Jake has the Idol Instinct trait thing (this idea sounds too bizarre and OP, but I had to properly execute this idea), his Musou Tensei where Souls of Idols from iM@S and Aikatsu! are summoned and they would have different buffs and stuff. Haruka gives you increased Fire Attacks, Chihaya and Aoi give the same buffs to the Water and Ice ones, Yukiho for Light and so on and so forth and if LL! ones are on the table, then the idea applies to this trait too. Basically, this little idea is also like Omega Quintet meets Fist of the North Star and Shazam. Examples: Maki/Haruka = Fire. Chihaya/Aoi/Umi = Water and Ice. Yukiho = Light. Miki = Healing/Nature. If the Meter is ready enough, then depending on what souls you have, then Captain Jake installs the full "Musou Tensei: J-pop from Fiction Edition" mode where we see many Souls showing up.

8) Add a Breath of Fire character!!! I don't even need a bunch. Just one. I don't understand how this hasn't happened yet.

Breath of Fire and Power Stone are two things that have such crazy, amazing potential and unique characters that still have never been utilized in Vs. fighting games and that baffles me beyond belief. If and when MvC4 is a thing, Capcom absolutely has to finally change that error of constantly overlooking them.

The thing that really upset me with MvC3 is that Ryu and I think even Rei had cards in the game, which proved that they didn't forget, they chose not to add them. I know so many people that would be the game off of that alone. That said I'm glad they didn't introduce them in MvCI only for them to vanish into obscurity 😂

I agreed with everything you said Max. My only input is, I think it would be awesome If players had the choice of 2v2 game play such as MvC1 or 3v3 such as MvC2 and MvC3. players can have 2v3 battles. I love and miss the HELL out of the dual crossover and dual time mechanic in Mvc 1.

Its a shame this never happened, wonder are capcoms thoughts on MvC. I feel having more transparent devs for ANY game would make things alot simpler

Have Ruby Heart, Son Son, Amingo, Psylocke and Cable return and I'm happy. Add in Jessica Drew and I'm happier than I can be.

This is exactly why your the first person I would think of you first as a hype marketing man Max. You singlehandedly brought back my childhood with those godlike KI trailers.

Number 7 fuckin KILLED me man, on a real note I love seeing his passion for these games. It makes me love them even MORE!

I love how "ahead on our way" from FFVII softly plays on the BG :-)
