Sir!!!! I have been dealing with loose vents on my 2002 Ford Explorer, having to re-direct the vent at every bump of the road. I had some O rings there, tried it and in less than 5 minutes it was fixed! Now I have tight vents which do not move by themselves!! Thank you soooio very much!!!!!

Great tip. I also saw someone stick little velcro strips onto the side of the vent to add resistance.

I like your idea better. I’ll do that. Since I don’t have any O rings. Thanks for the simple fix
Forty years ago, a Ford service manager showed this "fix" to my father (1970 Mustang) .... Using two rings/duct (one on each side) is a good idea, too.
This is a great idea. I work mostly on ford cars, but I can see using this trick on other models as well. Like your channel man. Lots of good tips here. - Jack

Dude you are f#%king awesome. I been looking to fix the problem with my 86 monte vents now going on 8 years. Your fix just told me how. Thank you and god bless. I subscribed just for how helpful your advice is.
Thought I would come over here and see what Mr. Klown has been up to lately. Nice tip on securing those vents. Good job Manny.

Thank u Terry..hope all iw well on your side as well :)
LOL - I thought that I was the only one who ever did this! I fixed my 85 Suburban's vents this way. I used one O-ring and that seemed to do the trick.
Where can I buy O rings that size and can you tell me what size o rings you are using for that simple fix
Thanks for the great tip! Where did you get the O ring set?
Easier than the foam pad fix I had used on my dad's IROC-Z.
Nice, I'll try this out
Is it universal that the vents snap out and back in like that on all cars? I have a 1992 Nissan Sentra SE. Just don't want to risk breaking the vents. Thanks for the information.
Very helpful! Also where did u get that gauge set up? I love it
