Thank you so much for this video. I've had this car for almost 10 years and have had this problem but never thought to fix it cause it would close after a few tries. Went to training camp and when it was time to leave, I opened the trunk and then I couldn't close it. A stranger assisted with a bungee cord and tied it down for me. Ran to KZread and found this video. Went to Amazon and ordered the part. Fixed it in less than 7 mins. Thanks for the help with this video. Also, shoutout to the stranger who helped me at training camp. ❤
What socket size did you use?
Where did you get the battery spade connector haven't seen them before.
It’s certainly too bad that everyone can’t do these type of informative and spot on presentations. Awesome bro.
Chevy out here made of legos lol
Do I have to drill the silver pipe for my car to put that tube inside like what you did or not all cars have it? Just at 2:48 you were planning to drill, and how do I get the intake temperature sensor?
Thank you for the explanation and demonstration of this procedure.
An indian mended these bushingd with a car tyre . Brillint idea. Reinforced rubber. Great idea..
I had the same issue and this fixed it for me. Took 20 min with a smoke break. Thanks for posting this.
Glad I was able to help. Don't forget to subscribe 😉
I drilled out the screw from the rotor. Can I leave the part that is still in the hub?
Sure can..don't forget to subscribe 😉
I got to do a 3.9L Uplander - seems the space is super tight and there are harnesses and power steering lines in the way... have you done one of these?
Thank you

Question: Does the vacuum pump run all the time or only when it needs it?
There is a pressure switch, so not all the time. Don't forget to subscribe 😉
@klowny1969 Thank you. The reason I'm asking is because it sounds like it's shirt cycling. But if I take the hose from the pump, it turns on just fine.
Great video! I want to do this system on my 81 z28. The only thing i dont like ( no fault of yours) is the way the ac lines run across the engine. I wish they designed it with the condensor lines on the other side so the lines could easily be routed on the driver side of the inner fender and down to the condenser. It would be a much neater install. But your video is great! Thanks for the guidence

Why not just use a wire loom bracket on valve covers to pull wires out od way? If he wanted it then I guess why not. 😶
The angle of the plugs send the boots touching the header primaries..don't forget to subscribe 😉
It would have been more interesting had you pump that pressure tester a bit way passed the 16 psi benchmark to see what happens after. That would have simulated the coolant passing through the rad cap pressure release valve to the coolant reservoir tank, if I'm not mistaken. Thanks anyways. Still a very useful video 👌
No need to use that screw. Take it out and throw it away
8 Years ago you posted this. Today, June 2024 I found it and can say that after watching dozens of videos this is the one that mattered. Great job. Your pace was perfect, your attention to the things that always seem to make a project a pain was excellent and your instruction was top notch. Yeah, I liked it. I wish you could have shown how you positioned yourself to make it look so "doable"; I found that putting the console down, laying down with my feet over the passenger side (all over including the passenger headrest LOL) was the ticket. Then I let my upper body slip down under the wheel and used the left hand for everything. Hard, but it worked! Thanks!
At that point just put some blue devil in it and call it good lol
I love how all of these videos just assume we have all these fancy tools and lifts. I need a real rednecks help

This video just saved me $1,215. I'm not joking. The mechanic wanted $1,245 to fix this issue (both actuators were broken). They told me it would take 6.5 hours to do because they would have to disassemble my entire dashboard. I just did this in an hour and 45 minutes, and both actuators cost me $30 (together). Do I have scrapes, cuts, and sore muscles now? Yes. Am I mad about it? No. Because my AC works again and I fixed it myself. So THANK YOU.

I would face the bushes the other way where the opening is facing to the rear so moisture and dirt don't penetrate 👍
