How to fix Land Rover LR3 running rough (Ignition, Injection.)DIY Part 1

How to fix your Land Rover running rough or misfiring intermittently.
codes PO301, PO302, PO303, PO304, PO305, PO306, PO307, PO308 and PO316 could be triggered by the engine computer.
Sparkplug Gap could be you problem, has to be smaller to control the spark inside the cylinder. The compression can blow out a weak spark from a wide gap on a plug and that will in turn cause this issue.
For a full explanation and fix, watch this video. It will make your LR engine run smooth again and purr like a kitten when you put a load on it.

here is how to clean your fuel injectors, the injectors showed in this video is from the Land Rover LR3. But its the same for Jetskis as well :

Thanks for commenting and watching. Be a little aware of the injectors, you might want to clean them, as well as the spark plugs. The coils if you buy them from anywhere, make sure they are original Denso coils- I have had too many not Denso’s which did not work. Next check your MAF sensor and clean it. Clean your throttle body, there are videos on the inet how to do that as well. Last but not least clean the connections to the coils as well as the connectors to the injectors - and see how it performs afterwards. Drive safely. Best regards Rene

Was driving my RR Vogue Christmas Eve and about 130 miles into my long drive, the vehicle starts to shake and an alarm saying that I've lost engine performance. Immediately realised it was a fuel problem. Managed to drive it the rest of the way - another 100 miles or so. Got home about 10pm, at times driving around 20 miles per hour. Christmas day, I'm now looking through Rene's videos and seeing how complicated it is to repair. Hoping fuel injector fuel might be sufficient. But I'll clean the plugs first, then some fuel injector cleaner and hopefully it'll be going fine. Hopefully I don't need to spend anything major. Again an informative video. Season Greetings!!

Hi Rene, do you still have smaller gaps on spark plugs? Did car worked fine with smaller gaps over the time?

Thank you for watching and commenting - i would go with the denso since i had a good experience with. It can be so tricky though. I really hope you will get the car up and running again - 🤗 Drive safely Best regards Rene

Also have the same obd reader. Scan had misfire on all cylinders. Changed all the plugs to iridium. Cleared the codes and still rough idle but only on 2,3,6. Engine running with basically low power and under load flashes the cel. I didn’t check the gaps. Possibly bad ignition coils?

Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes it can easily be the engine coils. If they are not original the spring inside them can easily be deteriorating and cause bad connection- I tried that with coils ordered from Amazon. I reduce the gap to .40-.35 to make sure the spark would come the right place and not be blown out during the compression stage. Make sure to clean your injectors too. That should help. Drive safely best regards Rene

@@techtips101 been a couple days. So I have 3,4,6 misfire. p0300 (random multiple cylinder misfire detected) and now p0313 misfire detected with low fuel. Chasing these problems down isn’t fun. Thoughts on the low fuel? Clogged fuel rails?

@@BP-xe7dw no. And I got tired of looking for the problem. Coils are good. All new fuel injectors installed and the problem persists. Super frustrating. I just drove this pig from NJ to Florida. No hiccups but still limp mode and rough idle. Not great fuel mileage either but it runs without much complaints.

Aren't the iridium plugs gaps not supposed to be changed?
