if you're having an issue where you type a Letter on your keyboard instead of showing the letter you typed it does something else for example when you type "d" and closes your tab or brings you somewhere else, a way to solve this is ctrl alt and shift 3 or more times all in the same time.

It's a very useful video. It provided me amazing help and relived after this worked and I just had to disable mouse as well. Then switch off computer and replace both keyboard and mouse after checking hardware in begining mode, it worked my keys 1-4 and 7-0 and prt scr.

this actually worked, did both steps. Thanks

I know its been 6 months and you have probably resolved it but try swtiching your pc off and disconnecting everything exept your monitor and boot your pc when on sign in pc plug keyboard in and it should reslove it

Okay but how am I to fix it if I can't log in? Over night my keyboard has stopped working, I've not dropped it, spilt water over it, nothing. The obvious thing to do is to buy a new keyboard but I feel it's a technical fault. Windows 10 is honestly CRAP. I've had so many issues with it from my WiFi drive to things like this. I can't keep paying out money for something that isn't even my fault and can happen at any given time.

Uninstall all of the HID keyboard options. This should disable your keyboard. After the first step, unplug(or restart) your keyboard. After reboot, use the keyboard and the windows key should work!

There may be a software try downloading one if its a gaming keyboard but if it isnt try restoring the drivers

Holy cow it actually freakin WORKED. The part where I clicked on the Browse my computer for driver software. >> Let me pick from a List of Device drivers on my computer. This method WORKED for me.
