    @@robk9330 It feels like a grab of pain on front hip flexor area in which I can’t straighten all the way up and sends me holding on to furniture to get around the house. Hasn’t happened in a while until this morning again. It’s not isolated either. The back of my pelvis gets really stiff and sore. Having to rake leaves today, I used the mantra - kind of like in the video - of “feet out knees in” when bending over to scoop leaves in a bag. This really helped engage my inner gluts and inner thighs which I believe to be weaker on me. What aggravates it? Probably standing for long periods of time as in going shopping etc.

    I've had left hip pain for 3 years and can barely put my weight on my leg. I've been doing physio and nothing seems to help. I did the left hip stretch you show here only for a few seconds as it was causing pain in the front of my hip but then when I got up I had instant relief. The pain hasn't gone but I can walk better and lift my leg out to the side. I will continue with this, thank you!

    @@tobiaspuccio2885 Hi, so as an update sometimes the hip impingement in my case starts to flare up either sometimes on the left side or the right side. However, since I started to do Hip CARS and especially Cosshack squats my hips have felt muuuuch better (you can google the article with tim morrison where he goes into detail) I do both of them really strict 4 times a week, always before working out, and now I usually hold a kettlebell or even an empty bar with cosshack. Because of the impingement, they used to suuck so much and hurt, but you have to push through it and develop the necessary hip musculature. You can try do do them at home where you hold onto something (like door handle) and do the cosshack. It is also going to improve your hip and especially your ankle mobility if you do them often, which you should. Believe me I used to have horrible impingement. What greatly also helps is to develop flexibility in the glutes and hamstrings. 90/90, adductor stretches, pigeon pose chest to middle foot, and especially seated good mornings will give you alot of relief. Core and low back exercises are paramount, the stronger your core, the more you will be able to fully utilize your leg muscles. It is going to take a while, at least some months, but honestly all the hard work is worth it, I have almost 0 pain in my hips now

Literally just had an MRI yesterday.. but the stretch did hit the spot. There's another exercise you may want to check out for lower back if you're having similar issues. You sit in a chair, grab the seat cushion, and pull yourself towards the floor. This is supposed to identify back issues but it gave me a little relief in the leg/ buttock Area.

    First of all great content, have been following for a while to understand my long time imbalances. Question: why does right and left impingement have different exercise? Could you do both exercises symmetrically?

  • @zsoltmajor860

    @zsoltmajor860

    Жыл бұрын

    Search for left AIC pattern. The human body is naturally asymmetrical (more organs on the right side) and therefore, in most of the cases, the pelvic tends to rotate to the right, meaning the left hip tilts forward, right hip tilts backward, left femur externally rotates and abducts, right femur internally rotate and adducts. To resolve that asymmetry around the pelvis (actually around the entire body) you have to perform asymmetrical exercises. (i hope i described it accurately :) )

    Hi Connor, some in deep thought process: in your left hip imingement all fours left hip capsule "stretch" it seems that you bias a sacrum turning to left out of a LAIC pattern (right pelvis lower than left meening more late propulsion on that side), but with the sternum it seems that it stays in right side bias and the left posterior mediastinum seems to stay closed with the left forearm being closer to the ground than the right side although reaching with that side. How about turning the sternum also to the left with the elbow in a higher position than the right. Or else I would fear to create a compensatory sidebend to the left side as it occurs in a left trendelenburg with single leg stance on left. Sorry for mixing up terminology ...
