Thanks so much! My CD player failed last fall and was finally getting around to googling for repair place, stumbled onto this. A Godsend! I managed to replace the belts, though video looked much easier than what i fumbled around with. But finally got it. Thanks so much.

I am so excited to have my player working again. As it turns out, the belts were not broken just one popped off the wheel. I replaced both anyway. Thanks so much for your detailed tutorial!

if belts are intact, use belt dressing (auto)

i know this is old...but the back panel is waaay easier, unscrew n unplug and 100% easy, the way here is more difficult

5 screws on back panel, n the whole thing separates

How about showing the cdp255?
