I rest my system to default settings now it won't let me pass putting in my Password for the WiFi. My System closes and restarts..What do I do??

Hi you have a few choices 1. You can reset again and see if it works after a 2nd reset 2. You can go grab a thumb drive download the system files from PlayStation.com and then go into safe mode by holding the power button on powerup until you hear several beeps and see the screen. Find your way to restoring system files then select the thumb drive 3. You can unplug your PlayStation for 10 minutes unplug the WiFi cable and power /hdmi and then plug it all back up and try again 4. If your using WiFi switch to LAN cable by plugging PS4 directly into the router with the yellow cable until you get the PS4 working then update system files then you can setup WiFi again I hope one of these will help you :) let me know if it still doesn’t work

I would suggest cleaning your PS4 from the inside. It looks kind a of dusty. The fan has collected a lot of dust which is the cause of overheating.

Bruh, you are a life savor. Woke up this morning, and whenever i tried to power on my PS4 Fat, it's been giving me either a clicking sound and blue light flashes, or just blue light flashes and nothing happens. Did what you did, and VOILA, it worked just fine with me. Though i didn't hold the power button, to enter "Safe Mode", i just unplugged, as you instructed, waited for a while, and plugged it back on. My problem was because the console wasn't switched-off properly. THANKS AGAIN. Thought i burned my console.

My PS4(500 GB fatty from 2014)literally got the blue light of death and broke like 3 weeks after I got my PS5 for Christmas. I've never left my PS4 on overnight either and I've tried not to leave it on overnight like how the guy that made this video does and I always turned it completely off and I've never left it on rest mode either🤷‍♂️ I've never even broke a console that I've owned in my entire life until this one so this kinda upsets me tbh. I think part of the problem is that I took my console to my dad's apartment a lot and there was a lot of lifting and cramming it into backpack's over the last few years so that's where my downfall may have began. The thing is though whenever I get past the PS logo after it checks the system storage and sometimes I struggle to just get past the logo because the screen goes black, The PS4 then is never able to turn off and it will keep flashing a white light and then it does it all over again. I have no idea what the problem could even be at this point unless it's just a motherboard issue.

i have been having problems with my hard drive for the last few months and it only worked after i initialized the console, i did it so many times that yesterday after i initialized i got the BLOD, i can say it is a hd issue and just replace it right?

Mine does that as well while flashing the blue light of death and it checks the system storage status and it goes to the PS Logo and then my screen also goes black. For me it will sometimes get past that and actually boot up but whenever I go to turn it off it never shuts off and it keeps flashing a white light and whenever it boots up all of my games are deleted as well from my library. I was gifted a PS5 for Christmas but if my PS5 somehow breaks then I won't be able to play sht. I've legit owned every Playstation console since the PS1 and even my PS1 still works somehow while my PS4 is probably toasted. 🤦‍♂️

i bought a refurbished ps4 from gamestop online. it came in a couple days ago, but it came with the blue light of death. when i hold the power button it turns on, & while im still holding it, takes about 12 seconds to beep again but it only beeps once, clicks a little, and then shuts off. if anybody out there has suggestions it’ll be appreciated. this whole corona virus bs is making it difficult to return it, so i dont wanna be stuck with a broken ps4

what you want to do is go on safe mode and go to update system software and do by usb and follow the instructions

@Blixd you might have to go grab a thumbdrive and download the system files from playstation online then see if you can go into safe mode with your usb you can bypass the corrupted system files. You won't lose any games or saves.

Mine when I turn it on Goes straight into blue light Logo pops up for a few seconds I have my controller plugged in with the USB cable I turn it on from my controller but after I see logo the light on my PS4 switches off and then brings me to a black screen saying no signal PS4 light still blue Then after a few minutes of waiting goes into a screen that says Cannot start PS4 Connect the controller with the USB cable I do that then it brings me to another screen Saying I need download update file 7.02 but I've already done that so when I hit cancel blue light turns to white then The PS4 goes black screen stays there for a long time like 6 or 7 minutes tops and then it turns off I turn it on again and same thing happens over and over again. I managed to properly start it up once last week Friday but I didn't do anything different I just turned it on like usual. I don't know what to do anymore I keep thinking there is no way to fix this console since I tried all other methods like going into safe mode and picking one of the other options but I'm locked out from picking any other ones other than number 7 and it's the same screen from when I turn it on the only difference is it just stays on the safe mode menu after hitting cancel. I don't know if you can figure out the problem here I tried so many ways I first thought it was because I had no storage space to download the update. Anyway my PS4 is a slim Bought it a few months back. If you can tho please help Tell me anything that you think might solve my predicament. And thank you for reading this
