Very detailed and easy-to-follow. I had the same problem of my aux cutting in and out. I was able to repair mine by resoldering the circuit board connections. What happens is the contacts get loose and eventually pull away from the circuit board so really it's an easy fix if you have some solder you can just resolder the connections and should be good to go mine works like brand-new didn't cost me anything. But I'm glad I found your video because I had no idea how to get to it so thanks for the video! 👍

I appreciate your video. The AUX on my 2010 Corolla has been broken and I thought that I might be able to repair. I never thought about a replacement part but your video showed me that I could easily install a new replacement just like the original so I have a replacement ordered from eBay. It's amazing how many replacement parts are available for my car if I need. My car is 13 years old and in exceptional condition but over time a few things have broken and I've installed aftermarket replacements. I've also installed some accessories to compliment my car since it's an LE trim. I've wanted the car to look more like a Corolla S. A man recently told me my car was an S. I can't lie. I had to tell him it was an LE.

Thank you! Congratulations on making a first-rate instructional video, clearly filmed, no loud music intro, just the facts. One note: I just did this on a 2009 Corolla whose AUX input had suffered some kind of blunt-force trauma. Getting the little "pigtail" connector out is a little deceptive; the pigtail (on the old connector in my car) was plugged into a white socket that had gotten knocked out the back of the outer (black) housing, so it was not clear which "white thing" to yank on. It's the little one. Also, one of the screws in Step 2 was super tight, I recommend having a little impact wrench handy (not a huge one for tires, like a little Ryobi battery one). You don't want to strip the screw head.

Just saved me (potentially) a lot of money! Thanks, man! I'd been dealing with my aux port being super sensitive, and/or uncooperative for at least the last three years. It liked to switch back to the radio, or simply just shut off whenever I hit a bump in the road, or lightly touch the aux cord. I couldn't take it anymore, this video was a lifesaver!
