How did yours look, i have the B8 1.8t and the B8 1.4t

I did this repair to a 2001 Passat 1,8t, but that engine is inline (not transverse) unlike your Audi. I had to drop the subframe down quite a bit to get the pan out in that car. Yikes! Great video BMAC. It should help many owners.

Hi all I'm away to fix a leaking sump on my vw polo and bought heat resistant silicone up to 300 degrees will this be okay and keep a good seel thanks.

Another tip, when you have the oil strainer clogged like that, remove it and cover it in oven cleaner and leave for 24 hours and then clean of with brake cleaner or carb cleaner, it works a treat

My sons 1995 Mark 3 Astra's oil light is constantly on, it's got enough oil but has a slight oil leak from the sump seal. Hopefully when I sort it all, the light will go out. Thanks for the info in the video.

My oil light comes on every so often when I run my car at low RPMs. It quickly goes away when I start driving and never stays on for a long period of time. Would doing this fix my problem? Or would it be from something else. Hope you can help.

Mo I went and cleaned the Oil sump and Pick up after watching this. When my last turbo blew (previous owner) They cleaned the sump as well, but put to much silicone when putting it back and it clogged the pick up. after cleaning it, there is no more oil light.

My 2012 VW cc t 2.0 won’t start this morning ( low oil pressure light comes on ) says stop! It has plenty of oil! Does have a recall for fuel pump. Could this be the problem???? Gonna buy new oil pressure sensor and change it.

aren't you meant to let the gasket set around the sump for 24hrs before running the engine?

Changed oil sensor and oil pump still I got low pressure. The engine normal though 🤷‍♂️

I have 2012 VW Sharan. oil pressure warning light comes on straight after moving. change oil pressure switch, oil ,Oli filter, oil pick up pipe. still not solved. anyone have any idea.

I think the pump is cloged up from that plastic that is melt over years Cover is ned to be metal not plastic .

Your water temperature gauge should be on 90 degrees.

Did this to my gti today... and light still came on...

Hi, let me tell you - I'm not a mechanic, but I understand a bit ... I have a problem with the oil pump. When I drive a car, for example 80km / h 4 speeds at 2000 rpm, my lights do not come on, but when I drive down a hill or up a hill, it always comes on and it says Oil pressure: Engine off! Owners manual! I did a big and small service, changed the oil pump, changed the air filter, filled the air conditioning, changed the PC belt, changed the oil pressure sensor but in vain it occurs again at intervals. I drive a Skoda Octavia 2011 2.0TDI 103kw 140hp 6 speed. Does anyone know what the problem is to tell me would mean a lot to me.

Mire than likely you have bad main bearings... had a 88 Silverado that did the same thing and cylinder 3 and 8 where spun
