How to Fix an AAV Auto Air vent. Vaillant Auto air vent
Quick video to show how to get you out of a Bind when dealing with a Leaky AAV... Key is a quick clean and to clean the Pot chamber it sits in. 2ndly Inside the spring is a small rubber washer... make sure is clear BUT DONT LOOSEN the spring if you do it will sit further away and leak constantly. To test if you have succeeded take the cap off blow thru and push the float UP... if it stops hissing...Jobs a golden ! Enjoy.

Interesting the friendly plumber had one of these leaking on his last video as an emergency call out. Good to know they are serviceable as a get out jail card if needed.

How many thousands of these are just chucked away every year.... I now carry cleaned ones for most boilers on the van and when I swop one I keep it and take it home and clean it ready for the next job..... cheers Doc...... 👍

That one was leaking in last vid... real bad... cleaned it ... checked the spring was wound in all good.. always test by blowing thru and push up float should stop 💯
