It didn't work for me either, and I tried it eight times. I have to turn on my 4K UHD player for the TV to turn on and then turn it off manually.

How about if the IR light isn't working ...like mine? I checked it using my iPhone camera...no IR light is being emitted, I took apart and the IR led is accessible could I just replace IR emitter? Do they burn out or is it something else?

had a bad contact on the rubber. only the power button wasnt working. if you use a cellphone camera you can see it IR light and when a button reacting with a signal. I see a purple light. I cut the rubber button off a different section of the remote I don't use and swapped it. My remote circuit board also has s short in it, because when you press the volume button, sometimes it changes the channel. Ive removed buttons and cut the silicon contacts that activate it completely off and it still does it. Oh well. At least I can turn the tv on and off again. I only use it as a computer monitor, so I dont need any other functions beyond on /off and volume.

Best way to see if it is working is to point the remote at at your turned on phone camera ,have the selfie camera on , you will see the red light on the remote on your phone screen
