If you take a remote with 2 'dead' batteries, remove the batteries and replace in different slots .your remote will work.... briefly... everything here is just cleaning contacts and wilm fix nothing as nothing plugs into the remote.

Clean the face of that board and the contact section on the rubber with surgical spirits. Does the job just fine. Use an ear bud dipped in the surgical spirit.. Cleans all the black carbon off both units. Job done.

Tried it but it doesn't work. Don't waste your time on this.

Чушь! Работает всего 6-8 дней! Чистил медицинским спиртом! Рисовал карандашом! Купил новый - сказка!

Отказы именно из-за потери графитового слоя довольно редки, разве что в совсем левых пультах где сэкономили на покрытии. В большинстве случаев достаточно просто протереть контактные площадки спиртом. В пульте в принципе и ломаться особо нечему. Бывает плохой контакт в цепи питания (плохой контакт в батарейном отсеке), часто отказы по причине низкого напряжения батареек, надо вовремя менять. Ещё бывает нарушение пайки вывода светодиода. Всё это можно исправить за минуты. Если какие-то нарушения в микросхеме (что бывает нечасто) то пульт, конечно, нужно менять. Такое уже не лечится. Реанимация с помощью карандаша обычно положительных результатов не даёт. Если потереть карандашом по грязной площадке, то контакт так не восстановится и толку не будет.

Вот как раз спиртом - не рекомендуется. Можно стереть графит. Рекомендуют простым моющим средством для посуды с последующей промывкой и просушкой. Самый распространенный дефект пультов - попадание жира от рук внутрь пульта. Жир проникает даже если закутать пульт в полиэтилен. А если стерлась контактная площадка, то можно наклеить новую - есть в свободной продаже. Фольга не рекомендуется. Там по схеме должно быть сопротивление десятки килоом.

i m happily amazed, my LG Tv remote some functions worked but power button did not work did the #2 pencil trick like described, and it is working now! hardest part was getting remote to come apart, but one i used the real small flat head screwdriver head to pry it open, the rest of the steps went smoothly....thank you so much, for the excellent procedure, hope it lasts, a good while. Guess i can always try again if things go south THANK YOU

Volverlo a armar parece bastante simple, otra cosa es que hiciera falta desarmarlo. Seguramente solo necesita pilas, y cuando las sacas y las vuelves a meter, si les queda algo de carga, vuelve a funcionar un rato. Así lo hacemos siempre en mi casa hasta que nos acordamos de comprar unas nuevas.
