I used a piece of semi flexible plastic that I cut to fit the bottom of the plastic tray. then I glued the plastic reinforcement to the plastic tray. Drilled new holes and reinstalled the bolts to hold the tray and the reinforcement in place. The main weakness of plastic trays is their susceptibility to cracking, so I figure the reinforcement will deter that in the future.

I put a piece of plywood to cover the whole bottom, also painted to prevent rot. Screwed it from top then jb welded crack then painted

Separated bucket from handles & inserted plywood. To cover the whole bottom. From top screwed down along the whole crack. Jb weld then sanded and painted for no shovel snag.
