If you are having this issue before replacing the batteries try raising the bottle above the sprayer. For example hold the bottle at eye level and hold the sprayer at waist level then press the trigger. This will utilize gravity allowing the pump in the sprayer to prime with the liquid. It’s less about a battery issue and more about the strength of the pump working against gravity. If your sprayer sounds weak then replace the battery then follow the steps above to prime it.

Well. Took me a while. None of those issues for me. The answer? The dang wand will still run with the batteries in “upside down “. I noticed bubbles in the sink….it was sucking room air and working in reverse. Not an Apple product 😂 3:04

I switched out the batteries, and it still didn't work (my batteries were actually still on the 'good' side when tested). I read in the comments to lift the container above the gun, still nothing. So I unscrewed the cap and lifted the tube in the container a little, still keeping the gun lower than the container, and it started spraying. Don't know why 🙂

Thanks for the video but new batteries didn't fix my Flip and Go Bug Stop sprayer. I'm on my second sprayer after the first one quit and the second one quit about 3/4 through the bottle. None of the other tips work for me either, but I did find something that worked that I will share with anyone who may be having trouble with this frustrating problem (where it's not a battery problem). 1. Unscrew the top by holding the bottle while twisting the top counter clockwise. 2. Place the sprayer tube that goes inside the bottle into the end of a garden hose (no nozzle) and turn it on low. 3. Press the power button and rotate the nozzle upside down while watching for the flow to resume through the sprayer, may have to turn it upside down a couple times before it starts flowing again. Worked for me, hope this helps.

Yikes. I don’t think that’s accurate.

I took mine apart and removed the check valve and fixed the problem. Just have to raise bottle above sprayer to get it primed then it sprays. Also noticed it dribbles when you let go of the trigger guess that’s one of the reasons for the check valve.

Nice video. My brand new Spectracide sprayer was making sound but not spraying just like the one in the video. Turns out the sprayer tip was twisted to the OFF position. So I twisted it to the SPRAY position and now it works fine. So that would be another thing to check besides the batteries.

Double check batteries are in correctly (+/-). If they are swapped end for end, the motor will still spin, but the sprayer won't work. The icons in the battery compartment are terrible.

Same. But i cut mine with a little water to make it go a bit longer and it stopped working after that. Tested the three AA batts and all are 1.43-1.46. Maybe a line clog? idk

Howdy, partner! First, clear the nozzle of any debris using water or a small needle. Then, if your unit allows you to unscrew the hose, try to remove it and run warm water through the hose, especially cleaning the bottom. Please let us know how it goes!

May want to try reversing polarity. If that doesn't work, try holding the bottle above the sprayer to start the priming cycle.

mine still didn't work so i remove the sprayed from the gallon filled the tube with some water and pressed the trigger the water got sucked into the pump and that did the trick i connected the sprayer back to the gallon and it works now ,make sure hold the sprayer gun upside down while pouring in some water and pressing the trigger at the same time

Make certain you get the same brand. Spectrcide and Ortho are not interchangeable as I mistakenly bought the wrong one 😢

new batteries - still no prime. You can hear it bubbling instead of suction in the container. Read a reply from Mike Morris and flipped batteries as he suggested and it works good.

Hey, partner! If it doesn't have a screw you may be able to snap the handle apart by applying gentle pressure or carefully prying with a screwdriver. There should be an easy access port somewhere to replace the batteries. Good luck!

@@kelliboone6274 I just bought a flip & go by Spectracide weed & grass killer yesterday at Lowe's. It worked for about 5 min and stopped spraying nothing I do will make it work. Quite frustrating because I had previously bought the larger 1 gallon size and it would not work at all but did not save my receipt. In the mean times the weeds are going crazy, I am disabled and so tired of spending money, driving and spending gas and nothing is working. I have followed all spectracide tips. No idea how to do anything with this flip & go if you figure it out please post. I will try to figure out the other one tomorrow in the daytime. That one never sprayed at all or made any sound.

@@163andyc take off the hoseend cap from the poison, pull the hose out , hold it straight up in the air and run the sprayer for 10 -15secs, then put in poison tighten, hold spray lower than top of poison , hold trigger to prime.

Lift the gallon above the wand so the cord can be extended then spray . Sprayer has to be under the gallon . Work for me even with a low battery If you have the gallon on the ground and try to use it. It won’t work Lift the gallon above and spray lower. Should work

It didnt fix mine, i threw it in the trash. It acted like the pump would powerup but not move any fluid through. Ever. No matter what you do. Like i believe the pumps themselves are defective. Ill Stick to the trusty pump sprayer or old fashioned hand sprayer...

I tried everything you said, even put in all brand new batteries and nothing happened. It barely spit bubbles for a second and then nothing. I followed all the instructions, primed it like you're supposed to but I ended up just trashing it, going to go look for something else that's not this cheapo piece of junk

Sorry to hear that partner! You may want to try to force some water or compressed air through the line to clear any clogs.

Try raising the bottle above the sprayer. For example hold the bottle at eye level and hold the sprayer at waist level then press the trigger. This will utilize gravity allowing the pump in the sprayer to prime. It’s less about a battery issue and more about the strength of the pump working against gravity.

How do you take the god damn spray off the can?

Don't give up if your sprayer doesn't work after replacing the batteries. I got mine to work by taking to sprayer tube out and turning it upside down several times. It would spray then stop so I turned my wand upside down while spraying and it is now working. Good luck, I hope this info will help you get yours to work.

Sorry to hear that, partner. I would say to try and poke a pin in the sprayer hole just to make sure there is no blockage. Also, make sure the intake line inside the jug is clear. If that doesn't work I am not sure what's wrong. Good luck and thanks for watching!

This post is useless. I went through three battery operated bug sprayers before I learned the lesson. All of the battery operated sprayers crap out after the first couple of uses whether you replace the batteries or not. It's a marketing gimmick to get you to replace it frequently. Buy yourself an inexpensive pump sprayer and the cheaper version of Spectracide, etc. without the built-in sprayer.
