    Mine is leaking straight through the thick plastic at the top around the collar where the valve contacts the sand filter. Not a gasket through small cracks😊

    Helps to "verify" the salt content? How do you know if this measuring tool is accurate and how would one reading from an unknown measuring device "verify" anything? It's been my experience that they might not be accurate and if they are, they only work for a year then due to 'salt water corrosion' they stop working. I bought several of these since they came out and tried to verify them with my pool shop which has a very expensive tester. Is that one accurate? No idea. But if I can get two readings from two different sources, and if they closely agree I tend to believe it. One source is my generator which gives me a read out, which also makes inadvertent changes because the cell is old. If I compare that to my shop read out, then I stay with the generator results "most of the time".

    Greg, I agree with fat on top but I don't trim anything & i use Hickory wood. suggest you 1. put your rub on the night before cooking, keep in refrigerator overnight. 2. cook your brisket at least 12 hours-16 hrs best for meat falling to pieces...on Saturday for example I do 8 hours (start at 2nd shift-2pm) on the smoke at 225°, 3rd shift 10pm-wrap in foil and back on the same heat only another 8 hours. Alternate will be to place brisket in your home oven 225° overnight, ready to serve Sunday lunch...this method will smell your house up in a good way. My oven has an auto cutoff at 8 hours or set timed cook. Create a video on this method, see what kind of feedback you get.

    If you are having this issue before replacing the batteries try raising the bottle above the sprayer. For example hold the bottle at eye level and hold the sprayer at waist level then press the trigger. This will utilize gravity allowing the pump in the sprayer to prime with the liquid. It’s less about a battery issue and more about the strength of the pump working against gravity. If your sprayer sounds weak then replace the battery then follow the steps above to prime it.

    So,there is never a time that a person has the actually open the sand filter chamber to clean out anything in there?

  • @MRGREGSHOWTO
    @MRGREGSHOWTO5 күн бұрын

    Yes and no. You should never have to clean out anything in the sand filter, but after several years (5-7) you may need to completely remove the sand and replace with new sand.

  • @rolandsalvato
    @rolandsalvato9 күн бұрын

    Hello again, I repeated the filter clean process twice; yet the pressure is still very high. I'm afraid that's not a good thing. What should I try?

  • @MRGREGSHOWTO
    @MRGREGSHOWTO9 күн бұрын

    @@rolandsalvato Do you know if it is higher than normal? If so, your sand may need to be replaced. The sand eventually wears down and collects long-term debris. Length of sand life varies, but many suggest replacement every 5 years or so.

    You take so many extra steps removing the lid/seat back…you can just replace the whole seat. 4 bolts hold the jump seat down…remove 4 bolts take out non-storage jump seat, put upgraded complete jump seat in, replace 4 bolts. Literally takes 10 minutes.

  • @MRGREGSHOWTO
    @MRGREGSHOWTO9 күн бұрын

    Hello. Thanks for the video. You said "don't leave the pump on as you switch the guage / knob.." Can you tell us why? Thanks again.

  • @MRGREGSHOWTO
    @MRGREGSHOWTO9 күн бұрын

    Howdy, partner! The pump operates under very high pressure and when you switch the knob you could enter the "Closed" or other limited flow position that would create immense back pressure. It may be fine depending on your setup, but I wouldn't risk it.
