Thanks so much for this comment, it put a big smile on my face :) Tight lines!
As a former match angler in the southern region of England, and a bass professional here in America, I am now returning to my roots, and your energy and video compilations are perfect for an old guy like me, getting back into coarse fishing. I hope to be able to teach more of the youngsters here about that style of fishing, which produce numbers of fish, and keeps the youngsters interested and attentive. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much! Good luck with your fishing :)
Thanks for a brilliant tutorial. Watched it last week and tried it out this morning in a very heavily fished local pond. For a couple of years I'd heard about a mythical 30lb monster that's almost impossible to catch...... Turns out that it liked a small krill pop up on the bolt rig method, you described. Fished it tight to the reeds in shallow water with a mixture of sonus hemp and krill method mix ground baits. Two rods, two casts, and two carp in two hours.... 20lb, equaling my PB and 30lb smashing my PB..... I owe you big time! Etienne
Excellent tutorial. I tried method feeding for the first time on Friday and got on really well with it, I am new to fishing and your videos really help with learning new skills. Thanks and keep up the good work.
My first carp and my first big fish landed on my first method feeder session. Well... it was only around 6-8lbs but for me it was huge. So I wanted to say big thanks to you guys for your tutorials. There is no better feeling than playing a fish that not really wants to be landed. And the best part of it when you can already see the fish fighting by the bank but its not yet in the landing net. I'm so excited for the new season. Best of luck guys.
Oh to be young again. Lol! I'm buzzing for you guys! Your vids are top notch & your tutorials are clear & precise. The fact is I have watched many videos made by older & more "experienced" anglers that just aren't as clear, concise or easy to follow as yours. Keep up the good work. As for adding my own little tip when using a method feeder I begin mixing my feed with condensed milk then finish off with water if needed. This has got me some pretty astounding results & is worth giving a go to see if it can make any difference to your catches. All the best & tight lines lads.

just getting into fishing. this is my go to channel for learning new tips. your other channel provides so much entertainment too. cheers boys
Been trying to figure out the tiny components and types of knots of the method feeder from other videos but they weren't making it clear enough for someone like me who don't know the lingo. Then I saw this... These videos are the best !
I love method feeder fishing. My preferred way is Hybrid feeder fishing as the hookbait is in the Centre of your bait mix. Another one thing I’ve discovered is when you got snagged too many times and you’ve lost your methods... (I lost 5 in a session). Yet I still had a 1.5kg of method mix. So I wet the mix just a bit more and used it with a ledger. Running lead, at the end with a longer hook length, instead of moulding the bait mix around the lead, I moulded it around the hook/hookbait. The result is basically having two sources of weight - the led and the bait mix. It acts the same as if fishing hybrid feeder or the Guru feeders with the clip which holds your hookbait in the middle. Every single hit was a bite, because the fish goes straight to your hookbait.
Great channel for me, used to fish as a kid, now getting back into a whole new world of method etc.
Great video! I’m in the states and this is the most effective way I’ve found to catch carp here. I use a “pack bait” of oatmeal or panko with sweet corn, and 1 or 2 fake corn as hook bait. Works well and stays on the feeder in current.
Well done guys, well needed for us beginners,,hopefully in time you both deserve a TV slot. All the best🎣🎣
Another excellent tutorial. I am getting back into course fishing after over 40years so your videos are getting me up to speed on everything. Thanks.

Nice video, I always have used the 'normal' way of carp fishing, but this is something I want to try out! Thanks for the video!
Many thanks for a informative and very well presented video. I am just getting back into fishing after a 20--year lay off (don't ask me why, because I have no idea), and I am recently trying this feeder method and your advice here is very helpful.
Thanks that was a really informative video. I normally use match fishing method feeders but I'm going to try the the ones you have used, im sure I will do better from the way you have explained it.🎣😎🤞 Thanks guys!
Another excellent video! Thank you guys, very helpful information!
Awesome new channel reel pros now youve come so far im so impressed and proud of you both been watching a long time piece out from cambridgeshire tight lines.
At last! I've managed to find your new tutorial channel and first impressions are it's going to be a rip roaring success. I am a 62 year old angler whose been wetting a line for the last 54 years and I have never stopped learning new stuff. You pair Alex and Carl are a credit to our sport and I these days await your latest videos with eager anticipation. You can teach an old dog 🐶 new tricks and I'm the living proof. I've never been a carp angler per sa but I have hooked a few during my nightly adventures fishing for Bream, Barbel and Tench on my local stretch of the Thames. Following your tutorials I'm going to up the strength of the artillery and activley go looking for these river monsters that fight like demons albeit on one rod only lol Apologies for the epic post but I was getting a bit exited 👍🤗👍 Liked Subscribed and Notification Bell activated.

I am actually lucky because I live in a city that has the biggest dam in my country. Also my uncle has a privet dam with up to 30 40 kgs carp and 60 kgs catfish. I would like to thank you for showing this method in the most understandable way with good explanations. I am waiting for my feeder and I will test it. I really liked your content and I think it's really helpful and I really appreciate it.
I've really got into your videos throughout lockdown. First these excellent and clear tutorials then your other fishing videos. I'm a returning fisherman and remembering just how great fishing can be.
I discovered your other channel a few months ago and it's great that you have added this one. It is going to be a great help. Thanks a lot. Thanks you guys. I have re-discoverd the healing power of going out there and empty the head. Cheers

Thanks for the comment! Means a lot. Good luck :)
When I fish the method feeder or any other type of semi fixed bolt rig fishing for that matter.I always use a rear grip rest and make sure the first eye of the rod is behind the alarm/rest.And of course make sure that the freespool is engaged on the reel.I've seen a few peoples rods dragged in over the years. The bites can be that instant and savage.Even a 5lb carp can pull a rod in.
Like your Videos--your explanation is crisp and to the point. Can't wait to use feed from this tutorial in the lake.
Awesome as always guys, been following your main channel since near enough day 1 and you have inspired me and a lot of other young anglers our age to keep fishing. If you fancy a trip to Cornwall to go carping or lure fishing for bass, pollock and wrasse give me a shout!
Thanx for a great informative video. Love using the method.

Great vid and the best one I have seen.V v informative as you are not selling a product so are giving more time to the hooklink length which was what I was looking for. Thanks👈👍👍
I fish exactly keep this almost every day for the last year or so..... and it works great :) all i can add is i prefer the fox carp feeders, they have 2 weighted fins and are a better colour if you are fishing near cabage etc....
Love these vids. I go with rigs by people who have good experience and seem "normal" anglers. Love it
Love it! Thank you guys! 👍🏻

I would like to buy a quiver tip rod (feeder rod) and go for carp this way as I love the bite indication they give whenever I've seen people use them. I'd like to know what type of reel is best for say an 11ft/12ft rod? Great, clear video and I look forward to trying this tactic out.
Carl I have started fishing method feeders alot it has become my favorite method.i have got mixing my pellet and ground bait mixes down but I don't know what to use on the hook I have only used boilies and corn but I am unsure on what other baits to use could you Please make video on what baits to use on method feeder and what baits not too use

Good method for river carp . Use your normal carp rod/s 2.75 lb tc and up . Find slacks and eddies . I normally target areas behind up stream far bank trees and bushes , objects that are in the water that provide protection to your bait from the flow . Get some vitalin dog food and your freebie offerings in a bucket and cover with boiling water . Put the lid on and leave in a cool place . Do this the night before fishing . The result mix when packed on your method feeder hard enough will stay on your method feeder for an hour easy . Use your alarms and normal weighted bobbins (not the lighter or really light bobbins) . Use back leads to sink your line (not the flying back leads) . If your rod is downstream of your method feeder , then the bobbin will eventually hang right by giving of line (a little at a time) . Watch you bobbin dance up and down and your alarm beep beep away as carp attack the bait (have your alarms turned down) . Only pick up the rod when you have a screaming take or recognise a fish is on . This works well when fish havent seen this method on rivers . It also works well when fish have seen this method in rivers but fish at night .
Great video 👍
Nice one carl, your A Level in media studies shows nice and clear good lighting and the fish swimming in background is a nice touch, keep it up, ps i have no tips for you guys yet.

Very informative my go too channel cheers👍🎣
Great info but like you said on river the ground bait flow with water but it's nice and gives fruitful results cause with the flow of water the ground bait travel to much distance to attract fish from longer distance yeah it requires longer rigs to get max school of fish
I use it for close fishing and not to waist pva since you dont have to cast very hard to get to the spot. I also use it as bait protection, like you used for feeding in the USA. Make a big ball around your bait, if you throw it in the weeds you have a good chance to pull it out because your hook will not get stuck in the weeds. For mix I use: 1/3 feedermix 1/3 flavour mix regular attraction mix 1/3 breadcrumbs Extra if you like, a bit of corn or hemp seeds. I do the mix to keep the cost down and rather use some extra breadcrumbs if the mix is to wet then the other mixes.

Hey, thanks for this vid! I just wanted to ask, what type of rod are u using? Classic carp or? Have a nice day and keep up with good work! Greetings from Slovenia
i always fish some corn-cocconut and breadcrumb mix so there is always a big cloud👌I landed with this method 15kg fish
your advice helped us a lot and thanks to your advice I broke my record
All my big carp have been caught on small baits I do well on 8mm Mainline Mcell with the method feeder, very underrated
Been watching for a while, have one question when carp fishing with a weight tungsten tubing is used, can that be used on the method or does it affect the way the pay is presented, I'm a match angler and am looking at using the method for the bigger carp
